Video:
Clear, full frame, crisp with no mayor problems except there a slight pause on the start of episode 6 in disc 1 and on the Title card of chapter 18 on disc 2, I think it's the layer change if Ideon has beiing released in R2 - Japan as a dvd, it might be a rip, but the blasted watermark M logo appears over playback on the right corners a couple of times and some artifacts (no biggies) deducting from my video score
Audio:
No problems with the audio
Subtitle:
No problems with the audio
Comment:
Menu in english and chinese, 3 options A-Play all B-Chapters - 1 per episode, disc 1 has episodes 1-9, disc 2 10-19, the episode previews are cut except for the final episode on the disc C-Subtitle Chinese, English and None Another classic anime makes it's trip by HK dvd, Ideon, by Tomino the creator of MS Gundam and Dunbine (2 jewels of the mecha genre), a 1980's series, in the giant robot mold, with all the characteristic of a Tomino epic, complex story, the horrors of war and being made on his "Kill them all" phase expect lots of death and destruction where nobody is safe...specially in the last episode of the series and I mean NOBODY This is a classic, don't let the 70's, early 80's designs and animation style...and the subs stop you because this is a series that deserves exposure as the univesrse shattering series(literally) that it is...I hope tv set 2 and the movie set comes out soon :)
