Excellent video. Although, the anime itself, is quite dark intentionally.

Excellent sound! The English channel is 5.1 surround.

Right on. R1 rips. Although, I enjoyed the dubbed version as well.

Comment:

This has always been one of my favorite animes. Dark, moody, atmospheric. Although it has flaws in its attempt to tie in the back stories, I feel this one one of the greatest 'atmospheric' animes ever made. Disc 1 also contains an excellent documentary on the anime. Interviews with the writer, director, composer, etc. It is presented in Japanese Audio only, with excellent English subtitles. Disc 2 is the CD soundtrack. 22 tracks from the film by composer Hajime Mizoguchi. These tracks really hold up on their own! Powerful stuff! The soundtrack is in stereo. If youre a Jin-Roh fanatic like I am, this Special Edition is a 'Must Have'!
