Video:

It's a very good VHS rip. At first I thought it was a R2 rip DVD but the video wasn't as clean and sharp as a DVD rip. There is some pixellation during the opening sequence, and on some fast action scene. There is a 2 macro-blocking scene on Episode 12 that last 2 seconds but it's no big deal.

Audio:

No problem detected. The voices for the mini-special with the japanese voice actor was a little too low to my taste but the rest is okay. I also liked the ending song Tokyo Day's with the minituare bodies of Chitose mom's dancing, it was so cute to see.

Subtitle:

Happy Lesson subs is near fansub quality. There is a few mispelled words like what=wtha, mtus=must and closet=coset. There were also a few mispelled name like Uzuki- Usukl (only in 2 episodes) Hitose - Hitotose (After episode 7, Hitose becomes Hitotose for the rest of the series) Chibi - Little Little (only episode 10) The translation from japanese to english is excellent. Only a few phrase were missing a word, there was only 1 missing subline. A few words were not translated properly like Yatta (okay) was translated to Viva and Suge (Wow/awseome) to Wao. The only thing I didn't like about the sub is that they mixed the character's name in each episode like instead of putting Satsuki's name on the screen, they put Usuki's name instead. Kisaragi is Satsuki and Mutsuki becomes Uzuki at the end. In episode 8, Usuki is Mutsuki all through the episode. Yayoi, Minazuki, Hazuki, Fumitsuki were not switched. It was quite disappointing in that department The ponctuation and syntax was great Overall, the sub was awseome despited the character's name switch.

Comment:

I really enjoyed watching Happy Lesson the TV series. A student and five young female teacher living together, anything can happen. Some of the episode made me laugh alot like in episode 6, during the sport festival, Chitose sister Minazuki, along with Satsuki, Uzuki and Kisaragi wants him to win the best athlete prize in the competition. However, their plan for each events backfires and Chitose is sent flying to the air everytimes HAHAHAHAHA. Chitose's moms were also funny to watch. Each times the school bells rings, all the boys (in a frenzy) goes to the nurse office to see Yayoi. During her experiment in class, Kisaragi tends to blow up the classes, Satsuki gives a hard time with her students with heavy training. Uzuki drives her student crazy with her cosplay costumes and Mutsuki always giving Chitose a hard time I mean a hard lesson because of his bad grades. There were a lot of funny spot in Happy Lesson. Kisaragi likes to use Chitose as her guinea pig for her experiment. He can't escaped so she just have her ways with him HAHAHAHAHAHA. Chitose is in a blind date game (he's the only man) with Mutsuki, Yayoi, Usuki, Satsuki, Kana, Fumitsuki Minazuki and Kisaragi. So Chitose has to choose from 8 girls (One way or the other, he's done for) at the end. All the girls bombards him with questions. That was a classic All the girl's from Happy Lesson were interesting. Kisaragi looks exactly like Rei from NGE (except for the hair color). She invents all kind of machine to make thing easier for her to do or experiment her theory by using guinea pigs. Yayoi the school nurse, who likes to exorcice evil spirits that lurks everywhere, and with her sword, she can cause quite a ruckus with everybody and Hazuki, the star singer and Chitose's older sister is a glutton that would eat everything in the fridge and she won't loose a eating contest with anybody Yayoi and Hazuki are really really HOT babes. You should have seen the HOTSPRING episode. MY GOD, I WISH I WAS THERE WITH THEM. 8 babes all naked, god I'm in heaven. The storyline was very good. It was fun to see if Chitose and his 5 mom's coexist in the house or will he drive them out of the house because they gave him a headache. Since his mom's teaches at his school, not only does they teache him at school, he also as private lesson at night. Poor guy, they will tortured him to dead Overall, Happy Lesson TV was a lot of fun to watch. You never know what will happen to Chitose in each episode when one of his 5 mom's is around him at school and at his house. All of them tries to do their best for him, but at the end, they might scar the man for life. A funny and entertaining anime.
