Subtitle:

Horrible subtitles! They are so poor! Sometimes happens that there're lots of words in japanese and no subtitles at all! I tried to watch the 1st episode in japanese, but I undestood nothing! At last, subtitles don't correspond to the english speech.

Great R1 rips, I owned the original until this set came out so, its perfect.

Audio:

Ditto here, awesome sound.

Subtitle:

Man this is the unfortunate part of the set, the missing subtitles by the notorious MAC so I can of expected it, but this was too much for me to handle I couldn't watch it in Japanese because I think every other line was not translated. However, on a positive note, The ENGLISH dubbed kicked major ass! It was well done.

Comment:

A decent follow up to Go Nagai's awesome series, I use to watch the originals when I was younger so watching some of my heroes back in action kicked ass. A great set to buy even if you are not familiar with the original anime, but if you are a mech junkie this will satisfy your hunger.

No compression noted, even on the longer disc 3.

Audio:

All fine - great English dub by the way,was quite happy with it.

Subtitle:

Just as well I was happy with the dub as the subtitles are missing lines all over the shop. I watched the first 10 mins and noticed about 50% missing lines, then I turned them off. If they improve or not I cannot say. but, you don't really need them as the Eng dub is pretty good.

Comment:

This is the most intense mecha I have seen - great stuff. Darn confusing at first, so you may have to watch disc 1 again, but awesomely fast moving mecha action.

Above average audio for both the English & Japanese audio track

Subtitle:

The English subtitles are really disappointing. A lot of missed lines. In short, the series is not viewable if you plan to watch it in Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Comment:

As long as you watch this in English audio or can understand Japanese, I don't see any problems with this set. A region 1 rip and a good buy considering that all 13 episodes is crammed into only 3 discs versus the Region 1's 4 discs.
