Video:
This is what happens when the HK companies try to hard to be the first ones on the market with a title. If you've read my review of the first disk, you'd know that it was a perfect R2 rip. this, on the other hand, is a TV rip. I guess you could say it's **alright**, but in comparison to the awesome disk 1, this disk pales in comparison. Japanese adds scroll across the bottom of the screen advertising the DVD for Y5800 and the CD for Y2500...this is definately not what you want to see on a DVD.
Audio:
This episode retains the 5.1 surround, but I wouldn't say it's DD or DTS...far from it! the rear speakers are a bit muddy in comparison to the DD of the first disk. Still, it's better than a 2 channel anyday.

Comment:
Overall: This is a marked decline in quality and (IMHO) exemplifies what happens when HK companies rush titles to the market. The story is beginning to thicken between Lt. Fukai and the AI of Yukikaze. I don't want to spoil anything for the readers, so I'll leave the plotline out...however, if you're watching Macross Zero in conjunction with Yukikaze, it's beginning to look like Zero is starting to pull ahead as far as the plot and CG are concerned. The bottom line with Yukikaze is that it's like one of those summer blockbusters that you see just for the special effects (ie. Twister). They didn't come out and say, "wow, that was a great plot!" Instead, you get, "Did you see that thing tear stuff up?" Same thing with Yukikaze.
