Overall:

Video:

DVD ripped, looks great. Almost perfect indeed. Thankfully they didn't ruined it with the M Logos and Emails :) Anarph . Widesecreen

Audio:

Includes both a 2ch and a 5.1 channel Japanese Audio track. Listened to the 2 ch track and sounded pretty perfect

Subtitle:

Excelent Subtitles, must be ripped from the original release that included English Subs. Almost as good as an r1 release. There was an ocassion where i though i noticed perhaos a missing line, but it's hard to say for sure since the characther was talking a lot.

Comment:

Great rip. The only extras it includes are some trailers. The Menus are in Japanese. Usually i don't comment on the quality of the Movie itself (just the DVD) but i must say that this is an absolutely stunning movie, a wonderful work of art, it breaks anime cliches . It's not for kids, and it's not for dragonballz fans, but in my opinion it's one of the greatest animation (anime or not) movies i ever saw.Trully a magic, heart breaking movie, don't miss it.I loved it :)

Video:

5/5. Video looks absolutely great.

Audio:

5/5. No discernable problems with the audio.

Subtitle:

4.5/5. Great subs, although I am unsure if they are ripped from the Region 2's or not. There are 2 or 3 unsubbed lines, and a couple of scenes where the subs lag behind the dialogue by a line for a very, very short period of time. Word choice and translation are almost perfect, with the only questionable translation for me was trying to figure out what exactly a "thought crime" is. I believe I know what it is, but I think it would've been nice to word it better. Otherwise, 95% of the time, the subs are easy to read and understand.

Comment:

Another interesting, surreal story from the director of Perfect Blue, except not nearly as dark, gritty, and sadistic (it's actually quite the opposite).
