Comment:
This 3 part ova series is based on Konami's Salamander (Gradius) video Game series, this ova was released in the late 80's early 90's Presented in a weird order, just as the original 9 Star Wars movies where going to get released, before they got cut down to 6, 1st the middle, then the beginning and the end as the last released. But different to other video game adaptation, this one's got a solid, if simple story the Bacterion spread ther virus like evil across the cosmos, in the 1st ova attacking the planet Latis, where their defenses are ineffective against them, then 3 heroes from the planet Gradius come to help Lord British to defend his planet then we witness the invasion of Gradius, and how our team of heroes got together and finaly as the peace treaty between Latis and Gradius is signed, the Bacterion attack an capture one of our heroes, how our heroes will save the prisoner... The story is good, but the sub thing really messes my enjoyment of the show The battle sequences are good, but don't expect the frantic kinetics of the video game Menu is a still image with play all option, chapter select (one per ova), and english subs on or off My copy came with a reversable cover, and is nicer than the one pictured...(part of the image is on the dvd silkscreen)
