Lain is a show that rivals Evangelion when it comes to sense. Unfortunately, I have not watched it a second show and while I watched it through the first, it was never peaceful since my graduation party was being planned, lol. All I can say is that this release, ripped from the R1 release, is an awesome value. $15-20 for a well-known series, as opposed to the $100 that Pioneer/Geneon wants for it. That's almost as bad as FLCL's US pricing! Get this! And if you don't like the show, at least be happy you didn't waste a small fortune on it. :-)

No noticeable imperfections in video... Simply beautiful!

Audio:

Both Japanese and English audio tracks sound just fine, and I didn't notice any problems with synching with video.

Subtitle:

What can I say... Region 1 rip! No problems here! Completely understandable/correct names/no engrish!

Packaging is nice, but when I recieved mine, the left Disc (Disc One) had fallen out of its place. I put it back and the left side seems too loose and sometimes looses disc one. As far as content goes... I feel that one's life isn't complete until they've seen Lain! I'm not going to try to describe the story... its impossible... just buy!
