Video:

Just like Season 3 box set the video in this is completely crisp. There was no notice of any pixilation or color bleeding throughout the 3 discs.

Audio:

The audio is very crisp and clear I'll give it that. However unlike most things I watch I had to turn the volume up on my TV in order to be able to hear it at all. Most DVDs I watch (including HK DVDs) I just leave it at the same volume, or sometimes turn it down from the regular coax cable TV stations. Also there are no cracks or silence in the audio once o ever, so it is still great.

Subtitle:

As it relates to everything being there, from what I noticed there are no missing lines or miss-spelled words. Don't take me on the miss-spelled words thing though because my spelling sucks pretty badly. However the subs are in white (they're just ripped from the R1 set), so if you can't read white you might not like them. However I no problems reading the subtitles at all. The reason I deducted a half a point is because in this set, just like Season 3's once you turn on the subtitles there is no way to turn them back off without taking out the disc and reinserting it. If you watch everything with subtitles though it's no problem at all, but for me a guy that likes to watch both subbed and dubbed it's kind of an annoyance.

Comment:

All and all this is a great set to a fantastic series, a near perfect R1 rip. If you?re looking to get this set it defiantly won't disappoint you. I have never seen the FX set so I can't comment on the comparisons as of yet (until I get a set). The equipment used in watching this at my house was an RCA DVD player (about 3 or 4 years old), and a 52" Phillips Magnavox HDTV (gotta love Rainbow Rentals). Video:

Excellent R1 rip. Same quality as season 3. Probably the best quality you can get for an older show like this.

Audio:

Nothing to complain about on my simple stereo TV. I only listened to the Japanese audio, so I can't comment on the English dub.

Subtitle:

Excellent R1 rip. (I'm not 100% sure, there MAY have been some missing lines, but since I can't remember anything, it could not have been that bad ;)

Comment:

Finally a perfect Ranma R1 rip. Really nothing to complain about with this one. If you like Ranma (and who doesn't?), get this set. I doubt that the R1s are better. Recommended!
