I think this was made 25 years ago so of course the quality is not going to be too nice but if you compare the quality of this to 3x3 eyes DVD you will see that it is really not bad. I imagine this is ripped from the Japanese DVDs. Even the cover art is the same & contains 16 episodes in the box set. If you have seen the Lupin TV series DVDs then quality is similar.

Subtitle:

When watching the subtitled opening i was not sure if it was hk subs or not. They were top notch. After a few minutes into the anime it was clear that it was not fansub. However, for hk subs they are very good. Everything was understandable even if there was spelling errors or clumsy grammar. Many times there will be several lines perfectly subbed and you won't know they are hk subs. eg. "For mum" instead of "From mum" (from scene where Tetsuo's mum gives him an amulet) but it was pretty obvious since you know who is speaking. "The serious storm.. makes me almost suffocated" Character names are often mispelt by a letter, nothing major. Maetel is by default "Maeter" in it.

My review is from a quick check of both discs. I thought i'd submit a review since this is a cult favourite & no reviews have been submitted yet. If you are reading this review you are likely to be a fan so even if it is really poor you would still watch it. However, as someone who turned their nose up at this anime i now find this very watchable and would not be put of by the subs.
