Comment:
The Trigun 4 DVD Set from AnimeStudio, which is near identical to the Anime Cartoon release (You can see the red A being covered by the AS Globe Logo) is an excellent addition to anyones HKDVD/Anime collection.
The video keeps a good amount of clarity throughout, keeping breakups to a bare minimum and grain is near non-existant.
The subtitles are very good throughout, there are some grammatical errors and spelling errors, but very few, and with the exception of the missing minute at the end of episode 22 or 23, they are very consistant.
Menus are basic, but who buys a DVD for the menu?
The Audio is a little bit low when compared with the music on the menu, but it's nothing bad - it does seem to be inverted on our 5.1 setup, this is - however - not a big deal. Aside from this, I have no complaints with this set.
It should be noted, as well, that these DVDs contain the Japanese Intros that were cut on the American R1 DVDs of the show. The R1 DVDs use the same intro for every episode, this set offers a slightly altered intro for each episode - often showing the bad guys and an additional action scene or two.
Overall, a highly recommended set to a highly enjoyable show.
