Based on the manga of Tetsuya Chiba, Ashita No Joe follows the life of a boxer, Joe Yabuki. The story begins with Joe Yabuki encountering an old retired boxer, Danpei Tange.. Initially Joe didn't want to be a boxer, but because of the insistence of Tange and the appearance of his rival Toru Rikiishi, he decides to become a boxer. Ashita No Joe is an action packed story depicting the very emotional highs and lows of boxing. <br />
