It's a R2 rip, very good quality. There are some pixellation during 4 fights with the blue and they are 1) When Yuji shots the sand worn with machinegun 2) When Marlene shots a blue after Yuji gets stabbed by him 3) When Yuji (loosing his mind) and Marlene fights each other with guns near destroyed building 4) When Marlene shots a giant pinser in a Blue's nest After that, it's A-Okay
Audio:
No problem found, I absolutetly love the music of Blue Gender including their opening Tokahanate, most of the song were from the OST 1, many were melodies with the flute. Simply awseome
Subtitle:
4 mispelled name: Joy=Joey Jue=Jun Lowell=Robert Haydo=Kaido A few mispelled word, 3 missing subline and that's about it. The subtiming was excellent. Some phrase in the translation from Japanese to english were not translated properly, some phrase had a word missing and some phrase were poorly translated but they made it understandable. Overall, good sub
Comment:
The OVA looks like a recap of the TV series with many significant change in the storyline especially the ending. The first 9 minutes of the anime are EXACTLY like the first episode of the TV series, the only difference is that in the OVA, Yuji hair was long and in the TV serie, his hair was short. There are no Dice, Alicia or Tony in the OVA. Many of the scene are EXACTLY the same at the TV serie. You'll see what I mean if you watched the TV version. The OVA ending is a little better than the TV one, and some character dies differently from both version. There is a lot of Bloodshed in the OVA, and plenty of Blue's carcasse lying on the ground. The anime is not for young viewer below 14 years old. Overall, I like the OVA despite being almost a recap of the TV series but the ending was worth getting it. If you want to buy the TV serie, watch the OVA first. It's RECOMMANDED

Video 5/5 No problems here. Perfect DVD-rip. There are plenty of Chapter skips, and the menu looks great.
Audio:
Audio 5/5 Perfect audio. It sounds great with surround sound. No scratches or anything in the background, completely clear.
Subtitle:
Subtitle 4/5 About two or three of the names were wrong but very close to the actual names (ex. Yue=Yune, Joy=Joey). A few grammar problems and spelling mistakes are found sometimes. One conversation between Yuji and Marlene is not subtitled. Unfortunately this conversation is one of the added scenes. One line near the beginning is subtitled in Chinese, but you can easily make out what the person is saying (aka. "Kaido, Yuji"). All of the dialogue is completely understandable, if it wasn't for the unsubbed conversation I would have given this a 4.5 for subtitles.
Comment:
Basically, Blue Gender: The Warrior is the Blue Gender TV series squeezed into a 90 minute OVA with some added scenes. Some of the story is removed/altered. If you have not seen the Blue Gender TV series yet, then I would recommend watching that first. If you have seen the TV series and liked it then this is a good buy, although it seems like more of a recap than anything else.

Seems to be an R2 rip, very nice.
Audio:
True dolby surround.
Subtitle:
In general very good. The usual "AV typos" but nothing serious. Somewhere in the middle there are 2 or 3 sentences untranslated.
Comment:
It looks very similar to Armitage (just look at the main character). The best way to describe it is to imagine Starship Troopers with Naomi Armitage lol. Still I liked this tilte a lot and I will definitely buy the TV series. Very nice animation.
