Video:
For a TV rip, it looks really good. Even nighttime scenes. Sometimes the color will blur a little beyond the edges, but some times it will be true DVD quality. There is pixelation on some fast motion scenes, but you don't notice it as much, and even then it's very little.

Packaging:
I love the package. It has a great dark-ish green background with lime green lines (with writing and pictures) over it, followed by two very good pictures of the two main characters, Amano Ginji and Midou Ban. They used a very good GetBackers logo (there are a few, and the one AV used I don't like).
The back is equally impressive, with some well set up and designed pictures. The packaging for this DVD ROCKS!! You can't see it in a thumbnail, but upclose it's nice.
Menus:
Ugly and uninspired, with a manga picture of Ginji grinning at you, with the selections on the right. The cursor is a skull and crossbones.
Nothing special with the rest of them.
Everything Else:
It was really good. It really was. I didn't know what it would be like, but I was pleased with it. The first two episodes were strickingly similar, but I really liked the following archs, which went into each of the two characters' past.
The characters were cool and easy to enjoy (mainly Ginji, Ban can be annoying).
The theme song and ending is on every single episode, but unsubbtitled, as expected. I didn't really like either of them, but the theme song can really grow in you.
Overall, an original show which is really exciting, and a great release so you won't miss any of it. Definantly one you should give a shot.
MI put 8 episodes on this DVD ( a very fitting number ), which is a good change of pace from their annoying habit of recent releases having a pitiful 4 per DVD. Nice action, pretty good music (one of them sounds nearly exactly like this piece from Read or Die), and enjoyable show.
