Video:
Great picture throughout. No visual noise even in complex scenes with fast action. From what I can tell, this is ripped directly from the R1 release.
Audio:
Great sound levels on both the English and Japanese vocal tracks. I only listened to the English in a few spots because I preferred the Japanese voice acting in this release.
Subtitle:
From what I can tell, these are the original R1 subtitles. I paid very close attention to disc three and didn't notice a single dropped line. There are a few spots where what is said in Japanese seems very long while the subtitles are only a few lines but they are complete sentances and nothing felt omitted. The translation for the dubs and the subs are quite a bit different from each other. The voice actors for the English dub seem to have taken a few liberties with the translation to make the voices synch with the mouths better. Over all... great subtitles.
Comment:
Without trying to spoil this series I will say that the ending gets a bit preachy (kind of like the end of most of the Macross series). The whole thing is pretty well done and for people looking for a different approach to robots, this is an ok title to check out. There are some sexual overtones in the design of the robots (calling the cockpits "slits and having them located in the robots crotch is a mild sexual overtone) and the opening credits (naked women flying around and a big boat between the legs of one woman on her back). But don't be mislead, this is one very wholesome show. The violence is kind of like the old GI Joe TV series where there is tons of gunfire but nobody gets hurt unless a story point depends on it. The last thing I'll mention about this set is the convenient chapter break placements. There are breaks for the opening credits, beginning of the episode, and the commercial break for every episode. The credits are subtitled for every episode as well. The odd numbered episode are subtitled in English while the even numbered episodes are subtitled in Japanese written out with English characters.

Great video with no noticeale pixelation. R1 source.
Audio:
Audio was loud and clear. English and Japanese audio both equally loud. Dub actors for the English track are average to above-average.
Subtitle:
Some missing subs on disc 3 and a couple other spots. Subs vary slightly from the English dub script.
Comment:
This show has some potential, but never really does anything great. The Brains are cool organic mecha that move and function uniquely to the show. They're more like pet dogs that you ride around in than anything else and the way the pilots talk to them gets old. The show has an unsatisfying non-ending that really doesn't answer all the questions. There are chapter breaks and the menus are well done. The most endearing thing about the series is the opening credits and theme song. Naked girls floating around in beautiful scenery just can't be beat. Replay value and recommendation level are not very high on this show. (Rating 5 out of 10)

Comment:
Overall this serie was alright. Some of the episodes are boring and its also annoying how they keep saying "Jonathan Glen". There were some funny scene with the kids,Yu and Hemay. The characters are average while the plot can confuse you at times.

R1 rip again. No problems.

R1 rip. No problems, but the Eng dub is very forced.

Not tested fully. I spot checked discs 1 and 2 and seemed fine. Since then I hear disc 3 has some missing subs, so see the other reviews for details.
Comment:
Good version of a below average show. I was very tempted to stop watching this and when I got to the end I wished I had. But, if you like it this is a very good set (using eng dub to view).
