Video:

R1 rip, from viz. disc 1 and 2 is perfect. but on disc 3, in high motion scene with all the background moving, you'll notice things will get slightly blocky, a sign of not enough bitrate over there. otherwise. its good.

Audio:

again flaws in disc 3, the second episode is the worst but not fatally bad. its just the volume for it is terribly low. i need to get the volume up till 25 on my tv speaker, which normally is at 15. some showed this problem too, but not as worse as this episode.

Subtitle:

perfect. but the credits for the ending and opening are just too bold and big and it floods the whole screen. no big deal.

got it very cheap, maybe a repackage. its worth the grab.

This looks like an R1 rip. Excellent quality. There is a slight sub timing problem on the third disc.

For the most part the subtitles are very good. It seems that, however, in each episode there are points where there are no subtitles at all. A line here and there missing, but nothing major. Also on the third dvd the subtitles are a bit delayed, but still watchable. I give it a 4.

video and audio were nice, but Ranma 1/2 is great dubbed. The sub titles were very good, but the timing was off in certain sections. The Ranma OVA are all great, each episode captures the best of the Ranma 1/2 TV series. If you are a Ranma fan and do not require listening to the cast in English...this is a great package for an affordable price.

Video - 4/5 -------------------------- Not too shabby for sure with thanks mainly to the fact it was a R1 rip. The picture seems a bit grainy at times but nothing major and from what I hear it's the same with the R1 edition too. Sound - 3/5 -------------------------- OK the sound isn't really too bad and I have to admit to maybe being a tad harsh but at times I felt the track was too low, something I've also heard associated with the R1 version. Plus it's a shame they didn't use the dub track, I mean I may not enjoy dubs but some people do. Subtitles - 3/5 -------------------------- Nearly ever so perfect. What you'd come to expect from R1 subtitles really, but there's a few nagging problems with timing on disc 4 something which has been mentioned before. Still, I guess to most it would have been worthy of 4 stars... I'm just cruel ^-^ If you're a Ranma 1/2 fan then without a shadow of a doubt you should purchase this. For the price it's great and as long as you can spare to go without a dub track then you'll enjoy it.
