Video:
The video is great, in fact is flawless, no pixalation what so ever, everything was clear. This movie is as old as the series but it looks much better like a new anime with great dvd quality. And if that wasnt enough is widescreen. So there are no flaws unless your very close to the screen looking for some. GREAT!!
Audio:
The audio keeps up with the video, is sounds great. It has 2 tracks one english & one japanese, both in 5.1 stereo. Didnt have sync problems. R1 rip, all very clear. PEFECT!!
Subtitle:
The subs were good but the only problems is that it had like 5 drop lines on the entire movie (nothing big but it was annoying if you were listening to the jap audio). The timing was right not late nor too soon. If you watch the FX tv series, the translation of the spells (like the dragon slave) is diffenrent but similar. Yellow subtitles. GOOD!!
Comment:
This movie wasnt as good as the series but entertainig. Kind of slow at the begining but it picks up right after, the movie is before the TV series. It had no extras, like 10-12 chapter breaks. If you're a slayers fan this is a great addition to you're collection but if you're not is nothing more than ordinary. For every slayers fan this is highly recomended. Video:
Consistently average video... it's 16X9 formatted, which is nice, however, considering this is only a 60+ minute movie, I would have thought the compression could have been better. There is some blocking going on throughout the movie, but no pixelation to be seen. I haven't seen the original source, however, so can't speak to where the improvement should be made.
Audio:
Great, but not stellar. Both audio tracks sound good... and are likely as good as they can get given the age of the source.
Subtitle:
No problems here. Clearly an R1 source, so everything is fine spelling, grammar, and timing wise. The text is easy to read, as well (see screenshots for examples).
Comment:
For a 60minute movie, Slayers - The Motion Picture packs a lot of punch. The perfect introduction for Slayers newbies, or a great addition for existing Slayers fans. A fun little Lina and Naga adventure. The spell effects, and animation in general are great for the show's age (1995), and there is a perfect mix of action and comedy. Very highly recommended if you like the comedy/magic-fantasy genres. Review Hardware: Polaroid PDV-0700 Portable DVD Player

Very good video. No problems at all.
Audio:
2.0 japanese/english. Did only listen to the japanese track and that was perfect.
Subtitle:
4-5 missing lines through the whole movie but no biggie. It even had spanish subs, but I didnt check them.
