Overall:
Video:
The Video on this is flawless; you won't get it any better even if you buy the R1 set. There was no noticeable color bleeding or distortions of any kind in any of the DVDs.
Audio:
The audio is excellent in this; I don't play the Japanese audio track so I can't judge by that. The only problem with this is that it is a little low; I had to turn the volume up on this. (Something that I didn't have to do for the Season 1 & 2 set). Other than the lowness in it, I didn't notice it being muffled, cracking, or any "dead air" at all in it.
Subtitle:
The subtitles on this are great, didn't notice any miss-spelled words at all. The reason I deducted half a point is because when you turn the subtitles on for this or Season 4 it is impossible to turn them off without taking the disc out and re-inserting it. Also for all of you that really like to know what color the subs are that they are an off white color, and very clear to read.
Comment:
I should mention that Ranma is defiantly an adult anime; I wouldn't show it to your kids unless you like them seeing an Anime girl running around with bare breasts. Overall this is a great set, and well worth the money. You don't get much better by spending $100+ on the R1 set. I played this on an RCA DVD player and 52" Phillips TV.

Video:
Nice video. Better than in the FX set of Vol. 1+2. I guess this is the best you can get out of the original source material.
Audio:
The audio quality is fine, but for the two last but one episodes there isn't Japanese audio. The track is there, but it contains the English dub (except for the previews). Someone posted that this was a fault on the original R1 release. So it's a "perfect" rip from a faulty source. Anyway, I deducted one star.
Subtitle:
Excellent. Some few lines missing, but otherwise perfect.
Comment:
The only real fault of this set is the missing Japanese audio for two episodes. But If I could survive it (I really don't like English dubs), then you can probably too. Recommended!

Video:
R1 rip with no pixelation, color bleeding, watermarks, or anything of that nature in my set. The video did look sort of faded though.
Audio:
Everything came in crisp and clear with Japanese audio. I watched about two episodes with the english dub and it sounded ok. edit: oh jeez, well I got around to watching the third disc (Reviewing a set while only watching 2 discs PF? Shaaaaaame) anyways and two episodes of the disc do not have a japanese audio track, it goes straight to dub. Just a heads up.
Subtitle:
R1 rip, perfect subs.
