Video:
Again, being ripped from the same R2 DVD set, means that the video quality will invariably be the same. And it is. No aliasing problems, cross-coloration or other such nonsense means that this still remains a stunning looking video transfer.
Audio:
Same old, same old. Excatly the same as the previous set. It's all in mono, but when it sounds this clear and crisp - who cares? Good stuff
Subtitle:
Unfortunately, this is the one aspect of the set that hasn't stayed constant with it's predecessor. The subs have gotten noticably worse. Not a by a great amount you understand, but the degredation of quality is certainly there. It's mainly the increased amount of engrish, lines that don't make much sense and the annoying use of 'You guy!' by the bad guys when they're about to attack (and get subsequently eviscerated by) Kenshiro. Not only that, but the subbers indecision as to how certain names should be spelt continues apace with Bart/Bat spelt differently on too many occasions to note and 'Rao' often being changed for 'Ken-o' in the subs when 'Ken-o' isn't even mentioned. In the end though, I think i'm being perhaps a bit too hard on the subs as they are still pretty understandable for the most part and often hold up quite well. I must also say that at no point so far in these sets, have I been confused as to what is occuring in a situation, character relationships etc... so all in all the subs are still fine, but they just aren't as good as the subs in the previous set. I guess they must have lost their fansubs scripts or something ^_~
Comment:
Still an awesome anime series and great to watch. Whilst the slightly worse subs spoil matters a bit, the fact remains that this is going to be the only way that you're going to be able to see Hokuto No Ken TV in it's entirety. If you've bought the first set, then by all means continue on and pick this one up. Recommended.

video: 5/5 ripped from the remastered r2 set. wont get better than this. audio: 5/5 nice and clear, no problems at all. subs: 5/5 hk originals, but very well done. no miss timing or shoddy english. story: 5/5 the second box set contains what most fans consider the best parts of fist. ever episode has great fight scene's and amazing characters are introduced in this series such as the sauza, shuh, and the nanto goshei ( protectors of ' you will have to find out' ! ) Again as i said for the first set, cant recommened this enough to any anime fan who loves action, drama and lots of gore!

Video 5/5 Direct rip of the new remastered R2, can't get any better than this. Audio 5/5 Mono stuff but this show was mde back 20 years ago when Stereo wasn't around. At least I didn't notice any dropouts or hisses. Subs 4.5/5 Not fansubs but really good HK originals (I wish they'd hire a Japanese speaking Gaijin to do the translation instead of a Chinese person). Spelling errors and grammar mistakes are still noticeable sometimes but generally speaking it conveys the original meaning nicely.
