Can only agree with the other two reviews, but this goes only for the first two volumes. The 3rd disc is a cheap TV rip. Very awful picture. I don't know if it got better till the end or if I got used to it. At least the subs remain near perfect. IMO this show is even better than NGE. Fantastic character design and very interesting storyline makes this one of my favourites.

RahXephon - 1 disc, 8 eps. Single DVD case. - Menus are in English. There's a special features which consists of a creditless OP and the Event Promotion trailer. - Chaptered with OP, part A, part B, ED, preview. - Video and audio were crisp and clear. No complaints here. 5/5 and 5/5. - Subtitles have to be a digisub source; the quality in translation and timing are far too good for HK originals. Near professional quality except there's a slight lack of punctuation. 5/5 - Content: Seen three eps and I've heard a lot of hype and comments on RX. It's apparently a trippy mecha show focused upon music. I'll reserve judgment until I've seen more, but it's definitely interesting if not a bit abstract.

Video: 5/5 Looks really nice on my TV, no noticable flaws or problems. Most likely a DVD rip. Subtitles: 4.75/5 Nearly perfect english and timing. There are a couple late lines and some awkward english a couple times, but nothing to get in the way of the show. The main theme and ending theme songs are also subbed. A nice yellow font is used as well. Extras: There is a textless opening as well as the full version of the theme song played over clips from the first episode. All openings and endings are present as well as the preview of the next episode. This seems like a pretty interesting series so far, and I'm interested in seeing how it unfolds beyond these 8 episodes. Nothing too new here, but if you like mecha anime you should check this out.
