Comment:
Video and audio are okay, some spelling errors in the subtitles but nothing that would spoil the movie.
Perfect Blue has relatively little in common with the anime genre; it feels, sounds, and nearly looks like a movie, and it's so well crafted that it has nothing less than say, The Silence of the Lambs (from which it borrows a couple of lines, maybe meant as a joke about how far it aims?).
The animation is realistic and fluid, superbly done, the music also - notably the couple of pop songs played by the characters actually sound right. This is not your standard issue anime where the characters have huge eyes and no noses, everything looks at the realistic proportion here.
The plot is simply exhilarating, feels much like Hitchcock and it will keep you on your toes until the very end. Further more, the questions do not stop there and you'll feel your brains twisted for some time after.
I can't recommend this enough, it is a brilliant movie like no other anime I've seen before.
