Video:
The series is all TV rips. It would've been nice if they ripped as many episodes as they could from the DVDs. But at least the video quality is consistent :P And it's good, too. The only problem I noticed was that the black lines aren't as crisp as they could be.
Audio:
Audio is great. I didn't notice any distortion or anything. Comes through crisp and clear.

Comment:
This is the newest Cyborg 009 series out. There was a black and white one made in the 60s, then another one made in the 70s. Both are based on the manga of the same name, except this one follows the manga. The other two just based characters off of it. So it's like watching the manga, which I hear is very good. The show follows the adventures of 9 cyborgs and a doctor that took part in making them. They are constantly being chased by the organization Black Ghost, the organization that kidnapped the nine people and turned them into the Cyborgs. The series follows there exploits against them. Very retro show, from the costumes to the art style to even the weapons, which look like a ray gun toy you would find in a 99 cent store :P As for the discs themselves... On disc one and two, there is the opening at the beginning of the first episode, then the ending at the last. Disc one doesn't have an opening at the beginning because there was none for the first episode (to allow more time to introduce the characters). But then on disc 3 there is an opening and ending for each episode!! Which I loved because the opening and ending both are great. I love the songs they used :) The opening is subbed, but the ending is not. I think the ending isn't subbed because it's kind of hard to hear most of the lyrics. Since this is a TV rip, after the opening song, it says "this show is sponsered by..." and says some companies. There are two different openings and one ending on this set. The animation for the opening is all that changes. And it switches back and forth for different episodes. One is just clips from the first episode, the other is all new animation, and it looks beautiful. Next episode previews are the same deal as endings. On disc one and two, they have it after the ending airs. On disc three, though, it has it for all the episodes. And it's subbed too! I noticed the MI logo at the top corner on only two occasions. There were email addresses thrown in, too, but I can't remember when, as it wasn't used much. Eyecatches are not present. I don't know if the show had them or if they didn't. The first two discs hold only a few episodes, while the last one contains about ten. I guess the third disc was a different type of DVD that holds more information so they could include everything. I think that about covers everything. I highly recommend this show. It has some of the best character development I've seen, along with a great old school story. Check this out, and don't forget to pick up the second set, too :)
