After the tragic death of his beloved Julia and Kenshiro killing his former best friend Shin, Kenshiro must a face a new enemy. When Kenshiro studied under his sensei to master the principles of the deadly martial art Hokuto Shinken, his sensei decreed the Kenshiro, the youngest of the four 'brothers-in-training', would be the successor to carry on the Hokuto Shinken style. Rao, the eldest and most aggressive brother was enraged by the fact that Kenshiro was the chosen successor even though Rao had bested Kenshiro before in a fight. Looking for revenge and even killing his teacher in a fit of rage, Rao has returned with an army of brutes, looking for vengeance and practicing his own deadly variation of Hokuto Shinken.
