Completely Flawless!! Brilliant colors and hardly any pixelation...my dvd player (set-top not DVD-ROM a Pioneer DV260 w/ Gold S-Video Cables ) says 5-8.5 mbps...just like the domestic sets!

Audio:

Its the R1 English tracks of course....and a great dub at that...great voice actors! The Quality is really nice...ive got a mid to high range system... AWIA 500W 6 speaker setup w/ gold audio cables.

Subtitle:

Classic yellow subs...and green subs on the intros and outros.

Comment:

I havent seen anyone else say this in their reviews but.. mine came with this little plastic slip cover and its really nice..simple but nice!

Great video, flawless.

Audio:

Very good, I watched with the japanese track. I did check the english from time to time it was much louder, and voice actors didn't seem too bad

Subtitle:

Subtitles were almost perfect, they looked good with the yellow and the Retail font, but there were a couple quick subtitles and one episode had the subtitles with a half second delay

Comment:

Not too bad of a series, My set had nice packaging and it was the mac set not FX(even though there is no mac logo anywhere to be seen, there are email addresses on the disc and case with mac in them). My first disc did not have that freeze problem the other reviewer spoke about, but the third disc seemed to have had a couple of errors in it yet still playable just a bit shaky(disc defect probably). Also had some extras on each disc

Near-to-perfect video quality except for one rather annoying error (scene on disc one freezes - see below). No pixelation but clear, crisp images. Yummy!

Audio:

Japanese and English audiotracks. I preferred the original sound - the English dub is mediocre as usual (even though I've heard worse dubbings, I didn't really like this one). It all sounded perfectly fine to me...

Subtitle:

Yeah, great. Translation is dead-on, no typos, no timing errors. This is perfection!

Comment:

This is how HK-DVDs should look and sound like! Unfortunately, the series itself kinda sucked (if you're looking for a mediocre Cowboy Bebop wannabe, look no further!) and I sold the DVD-set right after finishing "Outlaw Star". The packaging is slightly annyoing - standard MAC fare. But at least the DVD holders didn't break during shipment... Nevertheless - the quality of this release is outstanding! Series: 6/10 Quality: 9/10 Extras: - Packaging: 6/10

The video on this set is outstanding for a bootleg, especially considering all MAC did was copy the FX release...it does pixelise on some high-action scenes, and the first disc in my set will freeze when the group (Gene, Jim, Mel) get cornered by Aisha in the alleyway...but it played perfect in my brother's dvd player...strange, must be a hardware issue.

Audio:

The audio is a rip from Region 1s, so both the Japanese and English tracks have been perfect so far...

Subtitle:

The subtitles are also a Region 1 rip, so they are perfect as-so-much as Bandai made them.

Comment:

Well, overall, this set is a must buy. Each disc has amazing artwork on it, quality is outstanding. However, consider getting the FX release as they have art inside the packaging...the MAC release I have just has the grey-and-blue MAC logo packaging.

These discs are R1 rips. It looks quite clean from the episodes viewed thus far. Give this series a chance and it will grow on you.
