The audio, video, & subs were good. The first series focused on Baki and how he developed into a top fighter. Although this was a continuation from season one, this series was at it's core Ultimate Fighting/Grappler Baki. This is what I enjoyed of the second series. First, it showed a large variety of martial arts and talked about the benefits and weaknesses of each. Second, before each fight they gave you a background on each character which made the fight a lot more interesting. Third, it was not predictable at all...this is the first fighting anime that I have seen that I could not guess who would win. Finally, they told the background of Baki's father...who is the coolest character in the series. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes martial arts, ultimate fighting, or Grappler Baki first season.

Video - 5/5 R2 rip. All OP and ED and "Next Episode" previews intact. Audio - 4/5 No audio problems Subs - 3.5/5 HK Originals. The names are correct 95% of the time but there's one or two wrong names. But never chinese names. The translation is understandable and you'll never be confused about what's going on but the grammar and sentence structure was just okay. For any other show I might have given the subs a lower score but Grappler Baki is such a simple fighting story that the subs weren't so important. You could figure out the majority of the show with the subs turned off. The subs on this set are better than the subs on the Baki Pt 1 (AV) set. Extras - There are character profiles to read, a Grappler Baki commercial, clean OP and ED, and an interview with one of the Grappler Baki voice actors. None of the extras are subbed and the character profiles are in japanese. So unless you can read japanese, there's not much to look at besides the character's pic. Overall this is a good set to pick up if you like fighting anime and you liked the first Grappler Baki series. If you like shows with character development and lots of dialogue or you didn't like the first Grappler Baki series then you should leave this series alone.
