The picture is letterboxed with black sections at the top and bottom. The background near the white text of the opening credits appears to be a bit grainy. In general the picture is better quality than a VHS tape, but worse quality than a traditional R1 DVD. There's one very brief "blink and you'll miss it" part in the opening where part of the lower sixth of the screen completely breaks up and a "blink and you'll miss it" part near the ending where the screen flips horizontally.
Audio:
I didn't notice any problems with the sound. The DVD machine says that the sound is Dolby Digital.

Comment:
This 25 minute mini-movie preceeded the TV series. Thus, the animation quality is higher, some of the colors are darker, and the violence is more bloody in nature and contains the presumed deaths of certain wrestlers. It also contains a computer-animated rendition of a wrestling mask and of Tokyo Tower. The opening section takes place before the cartoon, while the main section takes place after the wrestlers become friends on Earth. The main menu is in English. The subtitles page is in Japanese, but that isn't a problem with a machine that contains a subtitle button. The chapter selection is in English, but it only shows three of the four chapters. Overall, it's a average mini-movie with some above-average graphical tricks. I'd only recommend it to fans of the series who are willing to overlook the misnamed characters on the subtitles.
