Overall:
Video:
Perfect DVD rip on discs 1+2, but noticeable pixellation on fast scenes on disc 3.
Audio:
Discs 1+2 are have very good audio, but on disc 3 there is an annoying hum (at first I thought it was my fridge making this noise).
Subtitle:
R1 rip. 1 or 2 lines missing per episode. On episode 8 the subs are half a second early, on episodes 9-11 the subs are about 1 second late.
Comment:
Those 12 OVA episodes are not much different from any Ranma TV episode, just with better optics. Character design is slightly different (am I wrong, or do the girls have bigger boobs in this OVA ;). I have only watched up to season 4 in the TV series, the OVA episodes take place later on, so there were some characters I didn't know. But I think you can watch this if you have seen at least up to the second season. This set would have been nearly perfect, if they hadn't messed up the last disc, with the audio hum and the sub mistimings.

Video:
R1 rip. You can even shorly see FBI warning at the end of the first disc.... Picture is sharp. I can not remember any compression flaws.
Audio:
Japanese DD 2.0 only. But clear stereo sound. Try it in DPLogic II Music mode, it's brilliant!!!
Subtitle:
English removable. It seems to be R1 rip, but the subtiltes are slightly mistimed on the 3rd disc (about 1 second). That is sometimes boring when the whole 'dojo family' is arguing ;-). I noticed few mistakes but english is not my mother tongue, so I guess you have to check by yourself.
Comment:
Packaged in strong 3 discs amaray box, this set is a best buy for a Ranma fan. Animation is much better than the TV show. You'll meet all the main characters. The stories are quite the same as usual but if you are a fan like me, you won't be disapointed !!!

The video appears to be from R1, as do the subtitles. The only thing is that there is no English dub, if you want that (I don't). Overall this a great set. The OVA is pretty much a random collection of Ranma episodes. Out of the 12 episodes, if I remember correctly, there are 3 2-part episodes. So you get 6 episodes and 3 2-parters.
