Video:

Excellent, I noticed no errors throughout this film wonderfully presented light colors

Audio:

Had no problems with the audio, music and sound quality very good

Subtitle:

Don't have any complaints about subs in this film

Comment:

This is a wonderfully done film. This film the whole family can sit down to and watch together. I love the extra's on the second disk. You can watch the entire film in story boards on the second disk. I almost never give a perfect rating to any anime I have reviewed, but this title definately earns one

Video:

Superb video quality eventhough the red tint was there because the tint was also in the R2 version as well. Crisp and clear!

Audio:

The audio was great whether it came from my tiny TV speakers or the 2.1 theater setup I had. Very rich and with much depth.

Subtitle:

Nothing was missed. Aside from a tiny bit of unsubbed lines, the subtitles were dead on. Very easy to read and understand.

Comment:

Another great offering from Miyazaki and friends! Studio Ghibli did a wonderful job! This is one that definitely must be in your DVD collection. Extras on the bonus discs are indeed subbed, but there is no menu option for if played on a stand alone DVD player as stated by zommy's review.

As from the other reviewers have said, this studio ghibli movie is excellent. There was some red tint on the video, but you ignore it after watching how great the film is :) Anyway just to say the Bonus disc does have english and chinese subtitles. The reviewer before could'nt access it because the menu on the bonus disc does not have a option to select subtitles. I reckon the reviewer before me played it on a stand alone dvd player. Everyone by now knows, this movie is another magnificent offering from Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli! What Id like to comment on is the 2nd bonus disc. Its a bit of a disappointment, unless youre into being an anime artist. What you get, is the WHOLE movie in storyboard form, and a great tour of Studio Ghibli with Miyazaki...WITHOUT ANY ENGLISH SUBTITLES! What a pity. So, I cant really recommend this 2 dvd set. Best stick with just the movie version.
