Video:

The video quality for this DVD is as sharp as a paper cut deep between the webbings for your fingers.

Audio:

There is no English track to the video. The Japanese audio is nice, though I would have enjoyed it more if I actually knew the language.

Subtitle:

OK. The subs here are below par. Bad grammar, subtitles going off the screen so you can't complete the sentence, etc... On the other hand, I was able to follow enough to understand (even vaguely) what was somewhat going on.

Comment:

Well, believe it or not, I actually enjoyed this film. The length could have been a teeny bit longer (running time is around 45 mins) and the violence is pretty greusome, but it didn't drain me the way Fist of the North Star did. And because of that I wanted more. Amon is one of those films that can leave a good taste (of blood) in your mouth.

Video:

Video 5/5 DVD-rip. Probably an R2-rip.

Audio:

Audio 5/5 Works great with surround sound. I actually had to turn my surround sound down a bit because it was too loud at first.

Subtitle:

Subtitle 3/5 Some of the subtitles sound a bit strange (ex. "You such a guy...", "I have to kill you, such a demon!"). The majority of the movie is understandable, however, there were a few conversations that were quite confusing. The names are correct except for Akira which is subbed as "Ming". There is one line spoken by Satan toward the end that is subtitled in Chinese. This movie is not too dependent on dialogue, so the problems can be overlooked.

Comment:

This has got to be one of the most basic DVD's I have seen. There are no menus and no chapter skips. As soon as you insert the DVD, the movie will start. If you are a fan of Devilman, then I would recommend this movie even with the subtitle problems. The movie has plenty of gore for any Devilman fan. If you are not a fan then this movie will surely not make you one, because it is just like the previous OVA's.

Comment:

This has to be one of the most disgusting animes I've seen. Its short and just pointless violence. Unless your a fan, stay away. Video and audio are quite good, the subs are weak though. Wrong names and some bad engrish. There isn't a whole lot of dialogue in the film but the little parts that mattered were quite confusing. Its not horrible, and is understandable, but I rate this as probably the 2nd worst animes I've seen.
