Very nice, but as others have stated, the quality is noticeably lower because of the amount of episodes. Still, I must say, everything looks great.
Audio:
Nothing wrong here, the sound was especially a good quality to have during the Dynamite 7 miniseries.

One of my favorite series, I'm glad the video quality is as good as the FX boxes and discs quality.

Being a rip of the hugely popular R2 DVD's, the video on this rip is downright astounding. I can see precious little that is actually worng with it. The only thing and this is a little thing, was that at points, when it would appear to be dark with a few light sources, a little bit of macroblocking would crop up. Seriously though, this is excellent video. Big pat on the back for Bandai Visual managing to remaster the TV series so well and then FX ripping it perfectly =o) .
Audio:
Good stuff all round once again. The audio appears to be very good as through my crappy new speaker system at least, I couldn't notice the quieting and dull sound problem that other users have mentioned about this set. The sound on this set always appears to be nothing short of crisp and clear at all times and as such is a joy a listen to.

Man, this is one awesome set! The biggest bone of contention would always be how well FX would be able to produce the subs for this set and the previous Macross 7 set. Well thankfully, they have pulled through and what we have is the finest 'rendition' of the entire Macross 7 saga on DVD that money can buy. All you Macross-heads out there should buy this right now and for everybody else... well.. you don't know what you are missing... Great job by FX.

Video was excellent, but didn't seem as good during the movie and first 2 eps of Dynamite 7.

This was even better than part 1, but I didn't enjoy Dynamite 7 as much as the rest of the episodes. Anyway, highly recommended for any Macross fan.

Video: 5/5 Great quality - I didn't notice any differences between the "Part 1" and the "Part 2" set. Audio: 5/5 Also great. Did sound very good to me. Subs: 4/5 Well, on the first three DVD's, which include the rest of the TV-Series and the Encore OAV's, the subs are great - good grammar, correct names and good timing - really perfect subs. On the fourth DVD the subs are not as good as on the first three. I must admit that the subs on the Macross 7 Movie are really bad. Also the names are changed or misspelled. The Dynamite OAV's has good subs, but names are incorrect again - Basara = Boxna. Extras: The Extras on this set are subtitled !!! There are also all openings and endings on each disc and all the previews for the next episode. Fazit: This set is the best if you want to see the TV-Series and the Encore with great subs and all openings/endings. For the Movie and Dynamite try out the MI-Discs, which have perfect subs.

Video: 4/5 - Still looks great, not quite as good as the Part 1 set though as more episodes are packed on the disks and the compression is higher. No bad flaws at all. Audio: 3.5/5 - Loses points because the first disk in the set has audio problems. Sound is weak and quiter than the rest of the set. For the other three disks, same standard as the Part 1 set. Subs: 3/5 - Like Part 1 set, not good but does seem a little improved. Well timed, decent grammer, bad an innacurate translation. Extras: 4.5/5 - Contains a number of extras: Macross 7 Plus segements, trailers for Macross Plus and Macross 7 movies, and copies of a Macross booklet and interview with Macross creator (in Japanese only unfortunately). Unlike Part 1, the extras in this set are subbed... badly. Better than nothing though. As well as the series the set contains the Macross 7 Encore episodes, Movie and Dynamite 7 OVA. Encore episodes: Same video and audio as the TV episodes, perfect subtitles - flawless copy of fansubs. Macross 7 movie: Excellent audio and video, terrible subs. Dynamite 7: Excellent audio and video, good subtitles. Apart from names being wrong (Basara is subbed as Boxana) the translation is excellent. One minor nitpick is that the episodes cut off about 10 seconds early, cutting off the "To be continued.." screens and the final line of the OVA is cut off mid sentence. Overall - another good set.
