Video:
Being a rip of the hugely popular R2 DVD's, the video on this rip is downright astounding.
I can see precious little that is actually worng with it. The only thing and this is a little thing, was that at points, when it would appear to be dark with a few light sources, a little bit of macroblocking would crop up.
Seriously though, this is excellent video. Big pat on the back for Bandai Visual managing to remaster the TV series so well and then FX ripping it perfectly =o) .
Audio:
Good stuff all round once again. The audio appears to be very good as through my crappy new speaker system at least, I couldn't notice the quieting and dull sound problem that other users have mentioned about this set.
The sound on this set always appears to be nothing short of crisp and clear at all times and as such is a joy a listen to.

Comment:
Man, this is one awesome set! The biggest bone of contention would always be how well FX would be able to produce the subs for this set and the previous Macross 7 set. Well thankfully, they have pulled through and what we have is the finest 'rendition' of the entire Macross 7 saga on DVD that money can buy.
All you Macross-heads out there should buy this right now and for everybody else... well.. you don't know what you are missing...
Great job by FX.
