good nice images. Very clear and the scenes are well thoght out. It is "eye-candy" as soem would say (hope I didn't sound obsine).

Audio:

It all depends on if you have surround sound. It is always more fun with surround sound ;) I am sure everyone knows what I mean, right? *looks around and sees no one there* I guess not.

Subtitle:

they are pretty good. Easy to read through

Comment:

WRONG - video suffers. There is a point where a "burning menu" pops-up

Audio:

Stay clear if you love your Audio system. There is a spot at the end of the 2nd or 3rd episode where there is a loud, high-pitched "ZAP"

Subtitle:

Understandable, they did well considering the nature of what was being said.

Comment:

Sorry, I cannot pay these kind of prices on a poorly done DVD. This was selling at near US pricing and lacked the quality to justify it.

The audio, video, & subs were good, but not exceptional. I did not enjoy the content of the show. This anime was very slow...I felt like nothing happened. It reminds me of a chat room where everyone is talking about stuff, but nothing really happens or occurs. It also feels like your playing a game that does not have a save button...so you just continue to replay the same parts with very little variation. Action, character development, character design, plot were all below average for my tastes.

Studio: Video Animation Episodes: 1-8 Video: 4.5/5 TV rips, but good ones. (There's ads in the middle of episodes, as well as someone hitting play :P ^^;) Audio: 4/5 My disc seemed to only play on the right speaker. I know my TV and player are fine, so maybe only one audio component is hooked up. Subtitles: 3.5/5 HK Originals. Good for the most part, but .hack is dialogue-driven and not all of the dialogue was subbed correctly. There's many references to "real life" things like old computers and Minesweeper that aren't brought in. Chaptering: Episode to episode, no breaks. Bonuses: None. Menus: Still with BGMs. In Chinese for chapter numbers and English for selections. Content: The show's all there, sans previews. Impression: Good release, but it's only an 'ehn' subtitling job for an 'ehn' title. I'd wait for the Bandai one if you wanted to really get the full meaning out of it.

Video - 4/5 Tv rip. All OP and ED intact and subbed. Audio - 4/5 No trouble here Subs - 4/5 The subtitles were very good HK Originals. The translations were good as well as the sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Most character names and place names were either correct or close. Tsukasa = Zea Subaru = Une Mimiru = Mimiru BT = BT Bear = Bear Kinkan = Enhan Sora = Sora Kurim = Klim Maho = Maho A20 = A20 Scarlet Knights = Scarlet Knights Dungeons = Altars BBS = Message Board "The World" = The World/This World This DVD includes the first 8 episodes and there were no extras. The chapter breaks went from the beginning of one episode to the beginning of the next. There were no stops in between episodes or even at the ED. Just from OP to OP. A total of 8 breaks for 8 episodes.
