Video:
Very good. Nice and clear. There were a few out-of-sync glitches in the whole series, but overall nothing to worry about.
Audio:
No problems that I could detect.
Subtitle:

Comment:
- MI watermark appears once in a while, sometimes on the top left, sometimes on the top right
- If you thought that e-mail addresses appearing in the subtitles were annoying, wait until you see this set! Website URL and 2 e-mail addresses are hardcoded! These appear once every 2 or 3 episodes. Subtitles toggling does not remove them.
- E-mail address is everywhere on the inner gatefold artwork. These are very faint, can be mistaken for part of the artwork, and not noticeable unless you look closely.
- All openings, closings and previews intact.
- There were 9, 9, and 8 episodes on discs 1, 2 and 3 respectively, adding up to a total of 25 episodes plus 1 extra episode.
- Menu is static with closing song playing in the background. Menu options are standard: Argento Soma, Subtitle, Chapter.
- Chapter breaks at opening song, start of episode, closing song.
- Great packaging! Clear plastic sleeve and gatefold with artwork. Discs art is not continuation of inner gatefold art, but still very nice!
Content:
Well... the story isn't that interesting at first and I don't like it all that much, although towards the end it gets a lot better. Ryu Soma, the show's protagonist, is so hell-bent on revenge that it gets annoying. Also, the animation is kind of average. It's been compared to Evangelion, and personally I like Evangelion more because of its emotional depth. But hey, that's just me.
