Comment:
The TV series has nothing to do with the OVA and there is no Himiko.. infact, it adds many new characters.
In, Vampire Princess TV, each episode is a story in it's own. Miyu usually sits back and watches how the Shinma (or demons) play with the lives of humans, until she finally, at the end of the episode, defeats them. Don't get me wrong. The stories are dark and usually have an ironic twist which keeps them far from the repetitious flow of the whole "transform and defeat" scenario of Sailor Moon. Although, the episodes are a bit toned down, it has the same morbid and dark feel as Boogiepop Phantom or Petshop of Horrors.
I'd recommend this to anyone with a macabre taste.
