The video and the audio are pretty good. I was satisfied with those. The subtitles on the other hand are horrid. Unless you can do without subtitles I don't recommend getting this at all. Judging from the reviews for the AV and MI sets of the Nadesico TV series, the subtitles on those versions are not much better (maybe they're rips of each other?). Unless FX releases this one, it looks like the Region 1 will be the only version with good subtitles.

The AS and MI set of nadesico are pretty much exactly the same: just different cases (AS case is a little more ugly ;) Video 3/5: looks like a tv rip (plus 95% of all the openings are cut out, and all the endings are cut out as well) sounds: 4/5 standard 2.0 japanese track subs: 1/5 or maybe 2/5, names are in ingirsh, not all dialogue is subbed and sometimes it goes offscreen, plus some subing is badly translated It's an... okay set, if your'e a nadesico fan and want something more economic i'd get it edited by sushininja3333 on 12 Apr 2002 10:47 am

Nadesico from Anime Studio has a plastic box, so it is not very pretty if you look at it. And also the front picture of the DvD is not from the anime but from the manga. The subs were great in the beginning, but it became worser. Sometimes the subs were behind and sometimes the subs were too early. The grammar of the subs were also great in the beginning but later on, it wasn't locigal anymore. The video quality were great.
