Tv Rip again. Though the quality is better than the first 2 sets.

Audio:

Muffled in places

Subtitle:

As the story progresses the subs start getting worse..

Comment:

Again, like the first 2 sets, this is a TV -> VHS -> DVD rip. Overall it doesn't look great, but if you can live with VHS rips (like me) that this set is very watchable. Do not that some episodes tend to look better then others, it's quite variable. Check out the screenshots I will upload. Note : Things REALLY do look a lot better when watched on Television instead of a DVD-Rom on your PC.

Audio:

Also, VHS sound. Sometimes its a bit muffled, and sounds 'dead', but overall very watchable.

Subtitle:

Taken from fansubs. Very good with (quite a bit) of typo's, and sometimes there's a line missing. I'd rate it 4 - 4.5, but that wasn't possible, so I gave it 4.5 :p

Notes: - MI logo appears, I believe once per episode. - Email adress appears in subtitles. - 18 episodes in this set total, 5 / 8 / 5 (DVD 5 / 9 / 5) I took some screenshots, the're taken in this way. 1st shot = Menu from the DVD 2nd = 1st ep from 1st DVD 3nd = Random middle ep from 1st DVD 4th = last ep from 1st DVD 5th = 1st ep from 2nd DVD etc... So one menu shot, plust 3 shots from every DVD, everytime a diffrent episode. So you can see the varieing quality.

VIDEO -- ok, nice colors, not too dark; there are ~2 eps. which seem to be scanned from a backup-vhs-tape. maybe the satellite-broadcast went down, and so they missed them. AUDIO -- ok, no problems SUBS -- ok, its good english; in my opinion there is a external translator, which notes his lines on paper along with some timecode. Then someone produces exact timecodes and enters the text. But often he writes "l" instead of "t" or "f" with missing "-", because the handwriting isn't very nice. AUTHORING -- eps. are cut together, intro/extro only at once per dvd. I HATE THIS ! YOU MUSTN'T DO THIS ANYMORE !!! edited by animefande on 02 Nov 2002 3:59 am

If you're really only watching this boxed set to watch Inuyasha, it's really good, but if you're watching it for great video quality you'll be sadly dissappointed. These were obviously taken straight from TV... or maybe even off of a tape that someone recorded off of TV. Video - Not too great, but the animation's still good ^_^; Audio - A really great japanese dub (with my fave voice actor playing Inuyasha ^_^) Subs - really good, with a few typos here and there. Overall - A good set to own, partially because Inuyasha's such a great show ^_^
