Video:
Well, the quality was PERFECT! Its was just like ADVfilms. Only I seen a small un-noticeable pixalization in one small part. I was amazed. But, even though it was made in 2001 (or was it 2002?) the quality is hand drawn. Its not going to look like Naruto. >.>;;
Audio:
Good. I didn't find anything to quote about. But the music is another story! Solid J-rock, punk, ending theme makes watching the credits worth-while.
Subtitle:
This is where it hit me. The first 8 episodes were pretty much perfect (maybe a few typos like: "chine" meaning "shine") But the rest of the episodes, mostly on the 2nd DVD. Were horrible! Every other word was misspelled. I was pretty shocked. But you can still understand what they were trying to say, (you'd had to pause it to read it then unpause it). Not that well done on the subbie's.
Comment:
If you dont worry much on the subs, this is a anime worth watching. Action-packed! Every episode is filled with fighting and Kaze with his Demon gun. This is a must have if you are into Digimon or GateKeepers. Also, great anime for non-FF fans.

Video - 4/5 Good Tv rip Audio - 4/5 No problems Subs - 4/5 Fansubs. Some misspellings and 3 or 4 unsubbed lines. One OP and one ED per disc Before I got this set I heard that the FFU series really really sucked which disappointed me because I'm a big FF fan and had high hopes for this series. I felt a lot better when I heard that it will be liked only if you're a hardcore FF fan....DEAD WRONG. This anime really sucks no matter if you're a fan or not. This series is a disgrace to the FF video game and is a failure. After the first sorry attempt to make a FF anime I thought that it would finally be done right this time. This anime does not do the game any justice. The FF games were very serious and mature. This series is one big joke aimed at young kids. It takes a lot more than CG to live up to the greatness of FF. edited by Femto821 on 06 Jul 2002 10:30 pm

This series has started off pretty col! I can't wait to see more! Kaze the Black Wind rocks as well, he's almost like a cross between Vincent Valentine from the FF7 game & Vash the Stampede, his nemesis White Cloud is a cool design as well. The story got really interesting by the end of DVD 4. Visual Quality- The picture is really good for a TV rip, there is a little fuzziness here and there but it's actaully pretty rare. The colors are nice and you can always see everything clearly on the screen. they did a really good job on this one all in all. Audio Qaulity- Audio quality is great on this set, everything is nice & crisp. And I never once heard the sound levels fluctuate. Again they did a really good job. Subtitles- The subs are great overall, not quite perfect but great non-theless. The names are correct for all 4 episodes and I only noticed a few typos here and there. I think these may be fan-subs as opposed to HK originals, not sure though. Either way they are really good. I can't wait until pt.2 of this series comes out, I really dug the characters and Gonzo did a good job on the CG summon creature designs. I have high hopes for this one. edited by Great Muta on 19 Apr 2002 9:30 pm
