What HK companies are good?

Hmm, I'll most defintely have to pick up a ps2 remote. I've got other players, but that one's in my room, which is nice =)

By the way, does anyone know a good place to find FX/MAC titles that aren't available on this site?

Yep! two really good places! http://www.cookiejarvideo.com and http://www.animeniacs.com
Those two places are very trust worthy and have great prices! LOL I sound like a commercial or something..
Take care,

Buying the remote dosen't help it too much. You would be better off just buying a cheapy player at wall mart. My cheap player hasn't crapped out on me yet. I don't get it. I figure it is a Sony player so it will be of the highest quality, but I guess everyone turns out some crap sometimes. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I watch about most of my anime on my PS2 (I do have the remote with updated software).. I won't lie and say I never have a problem, but 95% of the time everything works fine.. I have only found one disc that plain wouldn't play at all on my PS2, and that was one of the AS Rayearth Discs, which worked fine on my other player. Occasionally a disc will start to skip and then just won't play, but it's always at the same spot on whatever disc it is. I usually go upstairs, put the DVD in my other player, watch the rest of whatever ep wouldn't work, then bring the same DVD back downstairs and finish it up on the PS2. I definitely recommend having another player for backup, but you'll find you won't need it too often.

I do the same thing. I have a PS2 and a DVD player in my room. It dosen't happen all the time. I don't want to scare the people with PS2's, but I will definitely reccomend having a second player. I had .hack pull some shit on me a couple days ago, during a heavy action scene I might add. It decided to skip out and go like five minutes after that. So PS2 is o.k just have a back up player you can go to. I bought my PS2 for video games, which it plays just fine. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Weird. Funny thing is .hack worked perfectly fine on my PS2. I haven't had a problem with any discs in quite a while.

It messed up on me during episode 4, and episode 6 I think. I'm not really worried about it as long as my back up dosen't crap out on me. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Besides AV's Karte, Magic Knight Rayearth volume 2 won't play in my Pioneer DV-333. I just wipe the disc and blow the dust from my player and it works fine.

That's the thing I hate about technology. I treat my stuff like it is a god, and it still shits out! What the hell. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I never had a problem with my dvd rom on my PC. I had a few discs where the picture would mess up or just wouldnt read at all on my dvd player or my PS2 but they always work fine on my PC. Plus I have the initial d movie where they mess up the transfer and its shown in full screen instead of letterbox widescreen on my tv (everything is scretch vertically and everyone looks super skinny). I was able to rescretch it back to normal on my PC using DVDSubber (the HKDVD viewer's preferred DVD player software)

Mac is good if you don't mind shitty packaging.

Stupid MAC packaging, I wish they were more consistent, sometimes you get artwork, sometimes you don't. Its like a guessing game.

I think I'm gonna pick up Hellsing MAC just because the gatefold looks so sweet.

Yeah, that's why you have to look at the reviews, but crappy packaging is a small price to pay for excellent anime
