For those who have no clue who he is, he WAS a porn star. Then, he left that, and became a voice actor. He did a big part of the direction of the English version of Rayearth, and has his hand dipped in nearly every new anime. He's a singer, too. ^_^;

Welp I got all my stuff in yesterday..everything's so awesome! hehe.. I ordered The Kenshin Perfect boxes, Cowboy Bebop Perfect, Ayashi No Ceres Perfect and the Weiss Kruez OVA DVD. hmm..oh! I got a bonus though..lol appearantly they messed up and sent me out the Weiss Kruez TV Perfect instaid of the little OVA DVD..so I got it at less than half the cost..yeay! I am really busy this week so I haven't had much time to sit down and actually watch much..but soon enough! hehe..so exciting! ahahahaha. ((It feels so odd to buy so much anime for so cheap..this btw is my first real HK stuff I have purchased.))
Hmm..although I have not yet gotten to watching Rurouni Kenshin.. ((I am going to watch it after I watch all the other anime sets I got as that is the longest and yeah..hard to explain lol)) However, I skimmed around the first four disks. First of all..I must say, I am surprised but the Japanese version is WAYYYYYYYYYYY better..I do not like the dub that much. Second of all..that timing problem..ahhhh. Ok it is not that bad..you cannot even notice it really on normal scenes however, on fighting/fast scenes it becomes a bit distracting. However, maybe things will get better..I went to the fourth disk and I did not notice the problem. Another problem I noticed..maybe it is just my imagination or just my set..but the video quality seems a lot better after the 1st disk.

I'm just now into the second Kenshin set and I'm highly enjoying it despite the minor flaws. Still an awesome set ne? I haven't really noticed the synch problem anymore it may be there in some episodes but like you say sometimes it is hard to tell. Only a few episodes during fight scenes was it obvious. That doesn't seem to happen anymore.
The video looks awesome. The only thing that I dislike is there are many dark scenes in the Kyoto arc and they seem a bit too dark. I'd like to compare them to the R1's but I'm sure it is only slightly darker. Still great video all the way through.

Yeah, it's awesome as far as I can tell dispite the minor errors..(but hey! we saved like over $500 so we cannot complain.) My good friend Erin really wants to see this series as well..haha but I have to watch it first. This may be a little random..but I love these gatefold packagings! Yeah..the video is really good on the first disk as well..but I noticed it becomes a little better and clearer on the 2nd disk ((and probable so forth.)) lol..now I have to buy the movie and the OVAs! The movie is what got me intersted in Rurouni ((I rented it from blockbusters a little while ago.)) anyways..

If it were me I would get the Kenshin set! yep. Hmm..well personally I am going to wait in terms of purchasing Ranma until all the seasons are released.

Ok. Just finished the second Kenshin FX set.
Didn't notice any synch problems everything looked great. The only video problem I noticed was like two times the video paused for like a second but then picked right back up. Didn't miss anything, just a small delay. Nothing to take you out of the show and the video looks excellent as ever. Must own. Didn't even notice any pixillation on the tv. If you pause or fast forward you can see it but while the video is playing you won't really notice. One of the best rips I've seen.
