Man, what a great movie!!! I was not disappointed one bit! I will be seeing it again. I went with twenty two of my friends, two of whom have never seen Firefly, and everyone loved it! I'm with Zag, there are so many spoilers I want to talk about, but I will wait, till everyone gets a chance to see it first.

So you don't think it will those of us that are oblivious to Firefly behind? I saw some commercials and it looked good, but I?m afraid I won?t know what the hells going on.

The movie gives you everything you need to enjoy it. I do think that you would enjoy the movie more if you've seen the show. Certain things would mean alot more to you if you had, but it isn't a requirement. I say if you are even just a little interested in seeing the move GO SEE IT.

I'm going today with DARK_OSAMU. He hasn't seen the series yet, so he'll be the perfect test subject.

The movie was well crafted so that a new audience can enjoy the movie without ever having seen the show. I've spoken with a number of people who have been dragged along to the movie without having seen the series and they all enjoyed it a lot too.

I'm worried that it may not have the box office performance it deserves because too many people feel they need to see the show first to enjoy the movie.

Go!
Enjoy!

It's been one hour since I saw it. I loved it! It was actually better than I expected it to be.. the plot was great and I didn't lose interest for a second. Definately one of the best movies I've seen this year. I just love Inara & River! I'm going to watch the series on dvd now.

Great, after watching the TV series, now I have that Hero of Canton song stuck in my head!

"He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor; Stood up to the man and he gave him what-for. Our love for him now ain't hard to explain. The Hero of Canton, the man they call Jayne!"

Damn catchy song.
Macross. An experience often imitated, but NEVER duplicated. Shame on those who think otherwise.
