To be specific the atari Lynx was released at the same time as the nintendo gameboy. The lynx had color and was backlit and had much better graphics than the gameboy. But it had a very small game library was very expensive and had a pathetic battery life, I think 2 hours. If you would like more info do a google image search. Anyway nintendo shone through because of the comitment to quality games, and long battery life the gameplay beat out graphics thats why I trust nintendo, they always put out some quality titles, and all my gamer friends own a gamecube along with a ps2 or xbox or both.
