We accept talking pies, Steve

As for the film, it was a part of the Toronto Film Festival however we had missed the opportunity to see it (the Japanese language version was during a weekday --and during work hours...go figure --). The dubbed version was presented last weekend I believe.

Excellent. Also you don't descriminate on types of pies, either. If feel like a part of something now. My life has meaning.

Has anyone seen the dubbed version at the theatre and how is it. I might plan to see it this weekend.
The anime you own, may end up owning you.

Entertainment Weekly gave it an A. They are tight asses when it comes to that.

I've seen the Mac DVD.

This movie is INCREDIBLE.

If anyone in the Hamilton area wants to carpool to the Paramount in TO(the only theatre in Canada currently showing this movie), I'm willing to drive... we could do a weeknight or weekend.

Not that long a drive from NF to Ham... I'll take care of the rest.
Aries... you know where I live.

If you want to drive up to Hamilton, I'll drive the rest of the way to Toronto for you... heck, I'd pick you up in Fort Erie (the other side of the border from Buffalo, NY) if you make it that far.

Mmmmmm a nice 7 hour drive would work. Heh heh. I don't think my Saturn will make it that far.

That kind of road trip makes it an event rather than just a trip to the movies.

I drove four and a half hours to see Akira in Chicago back in '91 (or was it '92?) in my ancient Toyota Corolla (it had an 8-track in it).

I've got crash space if you want to spend the night.
It's gotta be soon because I don't expect it to play for too much longer.

Or we can just forget about the whole thing and wait for next year and see it on the R1 release.

I never saw it on TV commercial.

It sounds like a pilgrimage to Mecca, except I'm not Muslim.

Is this crash space squeezed between a washer and dryer?

I've got multiple available sleeping areas.

most people choose the couch because it is so comfy
there is also a futon in the basement next to the furnace... comfy but not quiet.
you could also choose the inflatable mattress in the computer room.

I'd like to think that any one of these choices would beat the space between the washer and dryer (which is available if that suits your preferences).
