Need info on new HK Dragonball Z DVDs ...

I agree. They are good, but you can get almost the same quality off of some of these HKs. 8O 8O

I pretty much stay clear from anything r1 nowadays. I've just been burned too many times. 8O 8O 8O

Um.... you're staying away from r1's and getting HK DVDs ?
Yeah, you'll get much better quality that way. </sarcasm>

Pioneer's license for the first few DBZ eps. are expiring very soon, and they aren't re licensing it and FUNimation is going to pick it up.

4 episodes per DVD isn't so bad ! 3 episodes I won't stand for, and 2 episodes.... well....
*throws rocks at the company*
Usually only VIZ does that.

I like SS and CPM the best 'cause they release lots of episodes. (Utena series was 7 eps. per DVD).

Definantly stay away from Yu Yu Hakusho. Don't support any FUNimation product. *shudder*

Yeah that was the first 13 episodes. Now they are down to 3. Hahhahaha. Don't like your precious CPM anymore, now do you? Sorry just kidding though CPM isn't high on my list especially with cutting Night Shift Nurses.

When I was speaking of quality NORMALY the video and audio quality of the HK releases is good and that is all I need if the subs are bad I don't care (unless by a slight chance in hell my brother wants to watch the show with me). R1's are just too expensive if they would lower thier prices a little bit say to $20 dollars a DVD I would definetly get back into collecting them again. 8O 8O 8O

Batz has a great point I'm an big believer in buying HK and the R1's. I'm like Schultz though. Once I get the R1's I'd give my HK to newbie anime fan and share the wealth. That is one of the best and greatest ways to get new people into anime. But on another note I raise a BS flag on DVD_Master... $ episodes a disk is a rip off for titles like DBZ and Sailor Moon. they are two long and there never seems to be any extras. Look at ADV (this will be my only good thing I ever say about ADV) they put 7 episodes on a disk for Sorcerer Hunters. That is the way to do it and that was only a one season series.

AD Vision is getting way better. Check out their Nadesico release. 26 episodes on 6 DVDs for $60 (Best Buy).

Despite how much I hate ADV that is a good deal. Four episodes for a series of Dragonball's length (normal dragonball is 153 episodes Z is 291 GT is 64) so $30 for 4 episodes is a crappy deal. 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Yippy Skippy. Funimation is releasing the first 8 volumes of Yu Yu Hakusho in a box set for $99.95 (480 minutes / 60 minutes/hour = 8 hours). Now at Best Buy or on the internet it will be cheaper. This beats spending $200 on the individual DVDs. I'll start picking up the series.

The set will be 26 episodes long.

I know. Thought about the set while shaving this morning, and ended up carving a pentagram in my forehead. Go figure.

Though I will be buying Hakusho. But I realize I'm spending something like $400 on the series. At that point I should probably buy R1 Kenshin. Though I will rent it all.
