I hate people!

Just thought I would get some feelings off my shoulders. I am really starting to get pissed off all over again about well, the government and stupid american parents. For me its 2:11 am and I was working on some dfd charts and got bored so here I am. I dont understand some people. Like censorship, parents get all tiffy about video game sex and violence but you can barely put on any tv channel without sex and or violence. Its rampant. But why the hell do they edit movies, if I am going to pay $10 a ticket I want to see all the violence and sex without and editing. Otherwise I will just wait to the dvd. Also why the hell do parents get all angry about violence in movies and games, its life but more important if you dont want your child exposed to it then do your damn job as a parent and watch and control what they see or play, its parents responsibilities not movie or game makers. You had the nerve to open your legs then take responsibility.

And f***n wallmart, did anyone hear about the kid who made antibush posters and then took pictures that he was getting developed at walmart, well they told the fbi on him and he was questioned by the fbi. WTF!!!WTF!!! people cant even draw anymore without some Ahole telling them they cant do that.AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!
You know violent games and movies dont make me want to hurt and or kill people but the government does.

I can relate and it's because most parents that do that are too damn lazy to deal with their kids so they would rather blame the video game and film industry for violence because they do a shitty half ass job.

Oh that just pisses me off. It is a protected part of our constitution for fucks sake! I think I'm gonna do the same thing and tell the FBI to fuck off if they got anything to say about it. This really, really pisses me off. Our rights are our rights, and more than one was violated right there. FUCK YOU Wal-Mart.

i got one word...Revolution. it's time. HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE! VIVA LA REVOLUCION! besides people need to mind their own business, if i want to play a game where i sneak into people's home and suffercate babies in their sleep, then by god i'm going to play it and no one has the right to take that away from me! this is america! land of the free indeed. and if parents are worried about their kids playing it, they can't buy any of the good games till they are 18 anyways and if they are controlling what their 18 year old does, i feel sorry for the kid.

I was in wal-mart the other day, and some mom was buying her shit head little kid a DS. I say he was a shit head cause even though she was buying him a 130 dollar piece of electronics, he was being a bastard to her, calling her degrading things and ignoring her when she would ask him what he wanted. Now, it was none of my business, but I couldn't help but see the really shitty game selection she was choosing to get for the system. Nothing could even be teen rated for her, so she ended up getting a couple of turds, one of which was the Madagascar game. I don't know about anyone else, but being forced to play some shitty ass game like that makes me want to hurt people more than Mature rated game I can think of. We need to turn our attention away from the violence in games and toward what makes people want to be violent; shitty movie tie-in games. Or we could all be mature members of society and actually take some fucking responsibility for our actions (or lack there of in some cases), but I really think that is taking it too far.Rolleyes I mean, we pick these shitty "properly rated" games to keep our kids out of our hair, you can't actually expect us to try to raise them right and teach them not be disrespectful, unappreciative spoiled ingrates do you?RolleyesRolleyes Rolleyes

Wow that was pretty long but I agree no one should have to play trash like that it's hard to believe some families are like that. Everyone I know has been playing violent video games for years and they haven't killed anyone. Anyways it's no wonder you constantly see screaming children everywhere their allowed...

I agree with basically everything that's been said here but those who truly piss me off are the parents! Always complaining, always nagging always running away from a responsability that is their own. Instead of wasting time complaining against violence and sex on tv, video games, etc, they should be raising their children properly. We should be able to watch whatever we want on tv without any censorship, if parents don't want their children to watch those sorts of things all they have to do is prevent them from watching such shows even if that means not having a tv at home. Parents nowadays don't want to bother with raising their children so they blame everything and everybody else when they turn into little monsters.
And I'm sorry to say this but from what you guys say and from what I hear America's no longer the land of freedom, quite the opposite. Everything sounds just so hypocritical! I mean, people scream "No" to sex but then America is the world's greatest consumer of porn (not that there's anything wrong with that :p)!!!

yeah, while I am still a teenager, I must say that some parents are idiots. My friends mom flips out if there is anything violent in her house. its funny cause she has no cluew what he keeps on his computer. My parents don't really care what I watch, so long as it isn't insanely violent and that my little brothers arent around. as for violent anime, my dad watches that stuff WITH me lol.

EDIT: btw andromeda i love your new avatar/sig, whats it from?

What many parents don't seem to realize is that real life can be and is much more violent than any movie or video game. In order to truly shelter their children from that they'd have to cover their eyes and ears.

My avatar is from the amazingly great manga Nana by Ai Yazawa and the sig is from the movie based on the manga that premiered in Japan last month (it's a huge hit).
The manga is one of my absolute favourites, not only Nana in fact, I'm a huge fan of Yazawa's other works (Paradise Kiss, Gokinjo Monogatari, Kagen no Tsuki...) as well.

Here's a little something about Nana:

Quote:Japan is a country of booms, cults, and fantasies of freedom. All are found in the rich world of manga . The current manga rage is in the pages of Shojo Beat , the creation of the artist Ai Yazawa .

Two young women - each named Nana, one a punkette, the other a "classical modern" girl - meet on a train and become friends, sharing a flat and pursuing their dreams of love, career and happiness. The layered characters, rich plotting and sympathetic observation make the adventures of Nana a compelling read for a generation of young women who find there an echo of their own evolving lives.

Now Nana is immortalised on the screen. Directed by Kentarô Ôtani, the eagerly anticipated Nana: the movie premiered in Tokyo on 3 September, and according to the fan site Everyone needs Nana is estimated to make around 10 billion Yen at the box office.

The Nana phenomenon has also spread to the US , see Comic Readers and iComics for reviews of the American Shojo Beat .

Quote:Ai Yazawa created the manga "NANA." This tale of two girls, both name Nana by coincidence, has left behind an enduring and very realistic fantasy.

I don't know how you feel about shoujo manga but I have male friends who read Nana, as does my boyfriend, and they all love it! There's a punk feel to the series that just makes it even better.

And the movie! Oh Lord, the movie! I could kill to get my hands on it. I've watched the trailers and it looks superb! The cast is great, the actress that plays Nana Osaki (my avatar) is nothing short of perfect (she's gorgeous) and from what I could see in the trailers the movie is very faithful to the manga, right down to the clothes, the concerts and the apartment where the two girls live (number 707 - nana means 7 in japanese). Since Kagen no Tsuki the movie is faithful to the manga I expect this one to be too. I just hope the Japanese edition of the DVD comes with english subtitles, same as Kagen no Tsuki.

Anyway, sorry for talking so much about it but I'm completely in love with this series! Big Grin I've even convinced a guy to buy the manga so much is the enthusiasm with which I talk about it. :p
The English edition of Nana will be on sale in December so if you're interested you can look it up. http://www.viz.com/news/newreleases/200512.php
So far there are 13 volumes on sale in Japan, I have 11 (French edition though).
You can also take a look at the movie's official website and watch the trailers: http://www.nana-movie.com/
