Lord of the Ring 3, UTTER CRAP
#46
Well after putting it off for a month almost, I finally saw it, and I have to say it was probably my favorite movie of 2003, it was really emotional and badass at the same time, true to the books. I have to say this is probably the BEST trilogy ever made. I think its about time Jackson gets his Award for best director. I can see why some people couldn't like it though, specially the ones that haven't read the books and don't know how much of a blessing it is to have 50+ pages of Tolkiens words translated to about 5 minutes of film. As far as bad books converted to movies: American Psycho was a good movie even though the book was better, but I can't say the same for Battlefield Earth.

Went to see it again becuase the first time I saw it was the midnight showing. Had to catch the parts I missed while trying to fight sleep. It was really good the second time, and I got the whole thing!

I'm in the same boat.Wink I call them the bladder killers.Big Grin I had to run to the bathroom both times I saw the movie.Sad Luckily I had to pee at different parts so I didn't miss the same scene twice.

Yeah, I liked the movie. But, I thought it would've ended much better if it had just cut it off with Frodo and Sam on the rock surrounded by lava with the other guys victorious at the gates. Sure it'd be "sad" to know that Frodo and Sam would die, but I like opera, so go figure. As it was, the movie's ending just kind of made me feel empty and indignant. Didn't like it much.

Yes, I can recognize that my ending would ignore the book, but I wanted a good movie, not a good translation.

And I think the Two Towers was the best of them all.

The second movie was the only one I sat through without having to go to the bathroom. I made sure not to drink anything before going.
