I heard that a director's cut DVD came out recently, in which an 8 minute never before seen scenes were added. I think the scenes that were included are a conversation between Kaoru and Saitou, scenes from Kenshin and Kaoru's wedding, and the birth of Kenji.

Most likely, Manga International or Anime Studio will never ever make their own version of this director's cut DVD (in which I can never own a copy of that DVD unless any of these Hong Kong distributors decide to copy it. I mean, my DVD player doesn't play R2 and the DVD itself isn't subtitled most likely.), so could anyone of you guys please give me full details about that extra 8 minutes?

Just wondering... the AS set of KOR says TV series + MTV and the MI set says TV series + OVA, is this correct? and what is the MTV part? Is that like a special Music video or something or other? Also does there exist a HKDVD version of the first KOR movie by any studio?

I'd greatly appreciate any help (if anyone owns either of the set could u post what each set contains specifically? I really want to get the set badly sometime before Christmas)

Studio: MI
Menu: In Chinese, so I couldn't understand them. But they're animated and have music playing. Standard fare, selection-wise: Play All, Subs, and Chapters.
Chaptering: Prologue, Episode, Ending Credits.
Video: Crisp and bright, but there's some black lines in the background that aren't really noticeable unless you look closely. It's not perfectly clean, but fairly close.
Audio: Sounds like standard HK fare to me.
Subtitles: Fansub scripts used. This pleased me greatly. The translation is spot-on and timing is excellent; barely any typos. Downside: the preview clips are not all subbed, and the first episode does have some dropped lines and mistiming. Also, in episode 7 or so there's a brief moment when the picture freezes (and the break can be scrolled to by the Next button, so it's some kind of f'ed-up chapter break).
Bonuses: Textless OP, textless ED, voice-acting studio footage.
Overall: Highly recommended set for a romance anime fan. Can't wait until 10-13 are released.

anyone want to get Ninja Scroll DVDs for 6 bucks plus shipping? the latest AS batch of Ninja Ressurection was defective... the disc contained ninja scroll instead of ninja ressurection, so the case has ninja ressurection graphics so does the disc...

I thought that maybe I was an idiot, so I logged on and tried clicking on 'add to cart' for another anime, and everything worked out fine. Has this not been added to the paypal database?

Hi again.

I know many people don't like FFU but i'm completely hooked on the damn thing. Problem is, as most of you know, MI has only released the first 13 eps and their site makes no mention of when the next 13 are due as it only shows the box art. Does anybody know when the rest of FFU (MI) is due?

And also, recently I noted that AV have released Patlabor WXIII (Patlabor The Move 3) and being a massive labor' fan, I was curious to see how this release has turned out. Has anyone got any kinda heads up on it? (Especially subs wise?) Thanks!
