I tried the www.Arcticnightfall.com but got a site that says Forbidden...??

Just thought I would make sure everything works and to introduce myself to the crowd!

Was wondering the other day if anyone knew if this series was going to be released on DVD anytime soon..I emailed the Japanese company (studio periot?), but never got a reply. Thanx in advance :wink:

Has anybody seen these? I saw an auction a while back for their DVDs (seemed to be HK) and just wanted to know if they were any good. . .
Oh, does this emoticon :x look constipated or is it just me?

OK, answers to these questions would really help me in my reviews. Here's the situations.
My Hellsing 3 disc MAC set. The last disc has a whole lot of wierd circles on it's bottom. This disc has a problem with two episodes where it starts getting those mutli colored squares on it, video and sound go whacky, it skips, ya know, that situation. I beleive it's refered to as pixelation, maybe? Anyways, is this because of the circles or encoding?
I ask about encoding because on my Getter Robo DVD set, two DVDs have this problems. An episode or two on each does the same as mentioned above, but on these discs there are no visible marks, scratches, circles, or anything else. This one has a solution though, as I fast forward past the problem, then rewind back to where it started, and it's fine. Is this an encoding problem, or something else?
I'm having trouble distinguishing problems that are maybe just my set, or the possible whole release. Please help me with this

Setting up your perfect message board/ chat forum RPG

Ok you have somewhat of a good foundation for the RPG, but it has so many holes in it it could give swiss cheese a run for it?s money. Now I?m not completely knocking your idea -- it?s actually a very good idea and you do have some key ideas to success which are...
+A job system
+A basic status setup
+An item system
+Special attacks
+A certain type of currency

Now, on to the minuses...


-A less than basic Job System
-Not enough items (I know that you are working on it...)
-Not enough specifics on the special attacks (In other words, nothing to work for)
-How do you get money? (I probably wasn?t paying attention, so please forgive me...)
-Not enough stats... (I?ll help and not just critisize...K? ^__^?)

Job Class System

Ok you should at least include the four basic categories -- Strength, Mana (or magic), Speed, and Technique. And then get into specifics.... Here is a table I have comprised for specific categories...

Add-Ons

Add-Ons are absolutely essential if you want an RPG to succeed. Things like character interaction, a plot (I?ll help you on that one...), Side Quests, the ability to form organizations (Guilds, Corporations, Town Gangs), and a lot of different spells & skills for every class, as well as a souped up combat system and status display. All battles are in real time and there is no mercy in combat. Attacks must be executed swiftly and with creativity. Victory will be rewarded with Yen(Money) and EXP. EXP is given out based on the defeated opponents status and level. Money is dispensed based on half of what the opponents savings are... And you start out with 5000 yen, which seems like alot but it really isn?t... Considering the price of items... Here they are...

Events
Now as it stands there aren?t many weapons to choose from for all of the classes in the beginning. This is where events come into play. Events are opportunities to allow players to unlock new items in the overall shop. Once in a while, registered players will receive a private message asking them a certain question. Based on how they answer these questions will determine what kind of item they get. If it is a new item that is not in the shop it will be added to the list and priced accordingly. If it isn?t to much of a problem with you, I would like to be in charge of the store and asking the promotional questions. If everything with Schultz works out, we could set up six threads inside of the RPG thread....

Here is how each individual thread works...

1.Registered Users Bios

This area is like an enormous instruction booklet that will contain the complete profiles of each and every last registered user in the RPG, this way the character won?t have to explain his background everytime someone asks him because it will be listed in the thread. This will also list all of the players skills and spells. Next....

2.Quest Mode

This is the main game. Since you are the one who had the idea (Even though I was the one who started the original concept...) you will be in charge of how things work out... on to the next thread...


3.Shop Mode

This is the shop where you buy weapons, armor, and items. If it is ok with you, I would really like to be in charge of the store so that I can update the inventory and keep up with the constantly changing stock. I can also keep track of how much money the store has made. This money can either be distributed amongst all players or all moderators. Next...


4.Suggestions Thread

I think this is pretty self-explanatory...

5.Battle Arena

Friends can wager a certain amount of money on their own fight or someone elses.

6.Bank

Since you lose half your funds when you die, put some money away here.

Hey guys, just a reminder.. you NEED to register for the con this week. Get the money. pay it. Trust me!!!!! You don't want to have to stand in line on friday, register, get a shitty badge with your name in magic marker, not get the goody bag...Anyway, today is sunday. Next sunday is the last day!!!!!!! Register!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok guys, just thought I'd post a quick message since the con is next month.. I have 2 adjoining rooms reserved. Tentatively I'll be in one room along with JJ and his friend, rei and his friend. The other room will have Morgy, Dark Osamu, and Kakoi in it. Now JJ still needs to get his passport, and I haven't been able to badger rei into giving me a definite yes/no answer, so that part's still up in the air.. Although they're all paying me so at least I won't go broke if worst case scenario happens and they can't make it. Hehe. Anyway, I'll be heading into town thurs night to eat dinner with my parents and pick up my badge at pre-registration.. I'll actually be at the con early friday morning, prolly a half hour or so before the con opens, hopefully will see a few of you there.. I'm gonna drop off my luggage, either in my room or leave it with the concierge if the rooms aren't ready yet.. Friday I plan on eating cheap and just doing con stuff all day. saturday will be doing dim sum in the morning and then con, sunday will be con all day and then a nice dinner at night.

A couple quick points/stuff I wanted to make everyone aware of:

--Other than those 2 meals I named, I'll be doing fast food the other ones to save money.. Hoping not to kill my wallet on food this trip..

--To my hotel roomies: I will be getting up an hour before the con every morning to get ready/eat and be there when it opens.. Hopefully alarm clocks don't offend you. I'll also be getting in the room at 3 AM or later every night, as that's when the con closes.. I'm quiet though so hopefully I won't disturb you.

--Preregister, now! If this is anything like NDK, those who don't register will be second class citizens.. the non pre-reg line is huge, you don't get the goodie bag, and the dealer room will have a line for non registered people while the registered ones just stroll right in.. they also got to go in 30 minutes before the non pre-registered folks!

--About sightseeing.. Start another thread if you want to see certain things and see who you can get to go with you! Me, I'll be sitting in some video room at the con, so you all have fun without me.

--Con ends at 6 PM on sunday.. I plan to get together with as many of you as possible to go somewhere fun and chill till late night. =)
