Is there way to integrated the reviews and the forum profiles so we only log in once and we can check the reviews and the DVD collections of people that post in the forum. I think that would be cool.

  HK DVD or digisubs?
Posted by: matthewmalay - 12-05-2003, 10:06 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (5)

For sets not yet available in R1 DVD.

I usually pick digisubs (fansubs you download from the internet) for new series, the video quality of most new series is usually very good and the subs are always better or at least equal to HKs, they are released super fast, sometimes even one or two days after the episode aired in Japan plus they are free. With the amount of licensing the R1 companies are doing these days might as well download it, check it out and if I like it get the R1s or Perfect sets when it comes out.

For older stuff, then I'll get the HKs like my Maison Ikkoku (which I'm not gonna replace with the R1s cause the quality is already so good) and my Lupin the III 1st TV cause good quality digisubs are hard to find.

I'm sure people with 56K modems will pick HK.

  Difference in Bebop sets
Posted by: Terrex - 12-05-2003, 07:19 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (1)

Recently, my neice ruined my Cowboy Bebop Set (The AV *or is it VA?* set). I'll probably buy a replacement set, so here's my question. I know FX has got the best import sets, but I see that they both have the same rating in the reviews. I've heard the AV set's are ripped from the FX sets, but I'm not sure. Should I stick with AV/VA set (a local store sells them for a pretty good price) or should I order a copy of the FX set?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Evangelion brings man to kill mother ( LOL)
Posted by: grandizer - 12-05-2003, 06:57 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (3)

saw it by the way said i will put it Tongue :p

Quote:During the opening statements of a murder trial yesterday procecutors stated that Neon Genesis Evangelion influenced a young man who is accused of beating his mother to death with a baseball bat.

Hiroyuki Tsuchida, 22, is said to have killed his mother with a baseball bat because he believed that it would be easier to kill others if he got over his hesitations by first killing familly members. The prosecutors claims that Tsuchida came to believe the phrase ""The ultimate conclusion of (human) evolution is ruin," from Neon Genesis Evangelion and that he also came to believe that humans were unnecessary being responsible for the destruction of the environment. This brought him to want to kill people.
