Happy birthday Junkie joe!

Hi everyone. I've been a hardcore anime fan for about 2 years and have a pretty big collection of region 1 dvd's. Unfortunately, I have to limit my anime spending this year. I'm not used to working on a budget when it comes to dvd's. Kinda sucks. A friend of mine's been providing me with anime lately like Prince of Tennis and Naruto . He downloads the fansubbed episodes off the net and burns em for me. I only recently discovered this site(and others like it). I guess my question is are these HK dvd's really worth spending money on? The reviews for some of the Fx perfect collections are really tempting me to place my first order, but then I stumbled into the forums and found lots of complaints about Fx release's having errors and compatiblity problems. Am I going to be generally satisified with my purchases of these HK dvd's or are they simply going to be a headache?

I was looking at my collection of HK I got and I found that out 2 of my titles had the same company but it's not listed. It's called Kinda, the logo of the compagny is a red circle with the letter K inside of it. There is also a email address for them - [email protected]

Is this company related to the others or is it a brand new company ??

Tokyo Pop, which already has the "Marmalade Boy" manga, will be releasing the anime version on R1 DVD, starting in April. Each release will be in sets of 3DVDs per set, with the first set containing 18 episodes.

But be prepared for sticker shock -- the first set has a SRP of US$99.99.

just wondering, because it would be nice to see whats coming soon.

Got a question- on a few sites they list vcd's as well as dvds. i am curious as to what the difference is. The prices are less that half of dvds, I wasnt born yesterday, and i am guessing they have some short comings, or possibly dont have the extras- Im also curious because my new dvd player can also play the vcds. ( are there regions just like the dvd's or are all the same ? ex- R1, R0) Thanks in advance for your help ! your opinion counts

what's the deal with the groups who release DVDR anime titles and HK DVD ? are they the same ( pirated anime DVDs & bootleg HK DVDs) ? and is there any connections ??

...or does some sets comes in Box (as I originaly tought)?

I suppose that single DVDs, like the movie, comes in a DVD case, right?

But for the series? I saw this Fx Kenshin set which is a box, but after looking again, I saw that it was actually 2 gatefolds united in a box, but is there actually some real boxsets like the legits ones?
