I read recently read this article about the rise of violence in among Japanese school children, and it took me by surprise. Maybe I am not as jaded as I wish to be, but I was shocked by the nonchalant brutality. I haven't been in grade school for quite sometime, but was (or is) it ever that bad in American schools?

The article does mention two anime titles, Battle Royale and Gunslinger Girl. I don't think the article was trying to show a direct causal relationship between anime violence and real life violence, but the author does draw a passing relation.

I know most of you are not to big on best and worst threads so I am going to limit my extent in this continuing series I will do to one per week of this type in this series. Plus this gives me extra motivation to rewatch some of the series I own. OK anyway I will start with Cowboy Bebop because it is a very known series that most of us have seen. What was your fav episode of the series? My personal pick was Mushroom Samba, for a few reasons first it was the very first episode of Bebop I ever saw. The other is Ed is such a weird character and the episode really revolves around her and Ein The music, story, action sequences and comedy blended very good on this episode.

I watch "Abenobashi Magic Shopping Street" (look like lil kiddy anime but its not) and they got the most swearing and funniest shit ever... the EXTRA 'take out' was funny as hell...

anyway.. was wondering if there more anime out there that have swearing intack (dubbed)....

i sent out my money order 8 days ago and i still haven't heard a word from alex or anyone by e-mail! how long does this usually take/?

Lately i have been having allot of problems with the Mac DVD's I've boughten. at first i thought it was a bad disk and would buy another. but when i did this a few times it was not that one disk it was the others as well. I've had more problems with Mac dvd's than the FX ones.

Well I know some of us view Hentai like it is a taboo. My friends don't even call it Hentai they call it Japornimation. I just want to see how we all view it and if any of us are brave enough to say we have some I will start off by I have 3 titles Twin angles, and two of the Urotsukidoji movies

I picked up Elysium recently and accually liked it alot so I tried to get more info about it or the company that made it. Here is what I found It was made in Korea, their is no english dub available, and info about the company that made it is almost non existant. Since the case is all in Korean it did not help me to try to read the case. Anybody have any aditional info on the this title

I have this problem, you see my so called friend gave me 3 dvds a while back ago. She said that I could have them and I said ok thanks. You see I got bored with them so I traded them away. and now she wants them back. What should I do? I mean she gave them to me and I guess I could do whatever i wanted to them. Was it a bad idea to trade them away when she said I could have them. By the way the dvds were Princess Mononoke R1 and Sakura Diaries Collection ADV. I don't think I was doing anything wrong, because she technically gave them to me and said I don't care do whatever you want. What do you people think I should do?:confused: :confused: :confused:
