What brand of DVD player do you own?

I'm looking into buying another DVD player, I'm going to college in the Fall so I need another player. Right now I'm using a TV/VCR/DVD Panasonic combination, since I'm moving into the dorm for the first semester(Frat the second) I need a good stand alone player.

The Panasonic I'm using now will play anything I can throw at it. I need something along those lines.
Right now I'm looking at

Daewoo DVG-3000(I have no idea if Daewoo is a decent brand.. there cheap. )

You can try this site www.crutchfield.com...How come you want a dvd player that is it multi-regional? You should get a Sony one instead IMO.

get the Apex 1500. it'll play anything and it's under $100. Kmart and bestbuy probably still carries them. You have to download some sort of program to make it region free. I'm not sure where to find it but i can find out for you.

I highly reccommend the Apex 660. With the newest hacked firmaware upgrade, you can make it 1)Region Free 2)Macrovision Free 3)RCE Immune. It's also very cheap.

If you wanted to, you can hack it and instal a hard drive in it and play MP3's from the hard drive.

I recently got a Daewoo 5700. Only ~$100 at Sam's Club. It's more preferable than the Daewoo 3000. You can search on Net for how to get it region free through pressing some buttons on the remote in a certain sequence. Just set it to auto-region and you're good to go. It also plays just about any format out there. check www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php

If you have some money, go get the Malata brand players. They're top-end region-free progressive scan models. search "malata" on hometheaterforum.com

I have an APEX AD3201 To the best of my knowledge it is the only one still in current release that has the built in hidden menu to disable region codes and macrovision. I bought mine at K mart for $109.00 plus tax and it has worked flawlessly.

I'd say get a Pioneer. That's what I got. It's played all of my R1 DVDs, Region 0 DVDs, official VCDs, as well as BURNED VCDs, so you can watch those horrible Dragon Ball VCDs(have never found these series in good quality, it's a real shame because the series is awesome) on your TV at least. It also played a Don't Leave me Alone Daisy DVD that would not work on other people's players. My choice is a pioneer.

It will cost you $179.99 but it is certainly worth it.
